Were looking for talented teammates who’ll help us maintain strong teamwork and are passionate about driving results.</p> <p>In this hybrid role, you will report to a Systems Test Engineering Manager, Motion Control.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>You will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Organize test campaigns subject to project milestones and verification cycles</li> <li>Write test plans and procedures, and develop scripts to automate their execution and analysis</li> <li>Perform objective and subjective vehicle assessment using commercially available and Waymo-developed tools and methods</li> <li>Translate actuator, vehicle, electrical, and control motion control architecture and actuator requirements to verification tests and execute in vehicle</li> <li>Analyze and visualize test results and report findings</li> <li>Lead issue and root cause identification efforts</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>You have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Understanding of systems engineering principles such as defining requirements and formal verification and validation methods</li> <li>Data analysis and test scripting/automation experience particularly for vehicles or other electro-mechanical systems (C/C++, Python, Matlab/Simulink)</li> <li>Test planning and experimental design, especially designing for safety and repeatability</li> <li>Proactive, organized, and good collaboration skills</li> <li>Bachelor and/or Masters degree in a relevant engineering or a related field (including ME, EE, CS, Robotics, Controls, Aerospace, etc.) or equivalent practical experience</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>We prefer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Hands-on experience testing, troubleshooting, or debugging air/ground/space vehicle systems or complex software systems.</li> <li>Experience with Linux or Unix based systems</li> <li>Data acquisition (DAQ) test equipment (Vector CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe and Etas INCA, MDA etc.) </li> <li>Working knowledge of SQL, Dremel, JIRA</li> </ul> <p> </p><div><div><div><p><span>The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
