Our team collaborates on high-impact projects across the company — from driving quality and operational efficiency to market analysis and rider satisfaction scores — we help to safely and efficiently scale the Waymo Driver. We are data-driven, curious, open-minded, and adapt quickly to new information.</p> <p><em>In this hybrid role, you will report to a Director of Product Data Science.</em></p> <p><strong>You will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with Product, Engineering and UX research teams to measure and improve Waymos service quality</li> <li>Perform advanced analytics and modelling to understand users need when using Waymo and build strategies to improve it</li> <li>Develop predictive models that will help us understand Waymos service quality in new cities</li> <li>Build and maintain state of the art reporting infrastructure to enable continuous decision making</li> <li>Design and conduct experiments to measure the impact of various launches</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>You have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience</li> <li>Statistical knowledge/data intuition</li> <li>Experimentation experience</li> <li>Ability to structure and solve ambiguous problems</li> <li>Coding experience with Python and SQL</li> <li>Experience interacting with senior leadership</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>We prefer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Transportation or AV experience</li> <li>Marketplace business experience</li> <li>Experience interacting with product management teams</li> </ul><div><div><div><p><span>The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
