About this role
As a People Operations Generalist at Waymark, you will report to the VP, People and manage people operations processes in service of ensuring we build effective, engaged, collaborative teams, within an inclusive and belonging culture that supports everyone in doing their best work.
You will be critical in driving the success of the People team, ready to roll up your sleeves to contribute across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding new employees, supporting data reporting and analytics, and providing organizational, administrative, and systems support across the range of people operations functions. In this role, you will also collaborate closely with all of the functions within our People team and the Finance team to aid in communications across our team and help execute on a range of critical tasks and projects to support all Waymark team members across the entire employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Run the daily functions of the People team, including the onboarding of new hires, supporting various people operations systems (such as the ATS and survey platforms), administering benefits, and maintaining employee files
- Configure, maintain, and optimize the Rippling HRIS for accurate data management and reporting
- Lead engagement and retention activities, creating engagement plans and initiating activities
- Support data reporting and analytics, including tracking and analyzing people related metrics, deploying and analyzing survey results, and completing required employment compliance reports
- Maintain, improve upon, and document people related processes and coordinate with Finance and IT Teams with respect to people related needs
- Serve as the initial point of contact on People team on a day-to-day basis for employee questions about benefits and employment policies
- Manage tasks associated with smooth offboarding of employees (e.g., exit interviews)
- Provide additional support as needed, in areas such as administering leaves of absence, trainings, interview logistics, and immigration administration
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in Culture Amp, Greenhouse ATS, Rippling HRIS & Slack
- Self-starter, with excellent organizational and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate, clearly and effectively, making people feel supported and heard
- Experience identifying and solving problems and making continuous improvements
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in a start-up environment
- Familiarity with HR compliance regulations
- Proficiency in Excel, dashboards, and data visualization, with an interest in using data to identify trends, patterns, and insights to inform strategic decision-making

US Employees in Boston, Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington DC - $85,000 - $98,000
US Employees in Arlington, Denver, San Diego, Sacramento - $81,000 - $94,000
US Employees in Albany, Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Central/Southern, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Detroit, Houston, Las Vegas, Miami, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Portland, Research Triangle, Salt Lake City, Twin Cities - $74,000 - $85,000
US employees outside of the above listed US Cities- $71,000 - $82,000
