We are seeking a compensation specialist that is dedicated and passionate about everything total rewards with a track record that supports their ability to manage a wide range of programs, systems, and policies that are essential to the daily affairs and well-being of our employees. The compensation specialist will work hand-in-hand with leadership and internal/external stakeholders to provide the best-in-class rewards programs that best suit the needs of our employees and align with company values, objectives, and priorities.
Essential Duties:
- Work closely with headquarter HR to develop and implement compensation programs, including base pay, incentives, and equity awards, to attract, retain, and empower employees
- Create recognition programs that recognize and reward employees for their contributions and performance
- Support the annual compensation review process, including merit increases, and bonus payouts
- Maintain and update salary ranges and compensation structures.
- Participate in and analyze compensation surveys to gather market data and identify competitive pay practices.
- Conduct ad-hoc market pricing for new and existing roles to ensure external competitiveness.
- Research compensation trends and best practices within the industry and for public companies.
- Manage and maintain compensation data in HRIS (e.g., ADP, NAVER Connect, etc.) and other compensation systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Develop and generate various compensation reports and analyses to support business decisions.
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external audit requests related to compensation.
- Ensure all compensation programs and practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FLSA, SOX).
- Assist in the documentation of compensation processes and policies.
- Participate in special projects related to compensation, such as new program design, system implementations, or M&A activities.
- Stay informed of emerging trends and best practices in total rewards and regularly evaluate and recommend changes to the organizations programs to ensure they remain competitive
- Collaborate with People Partners, admin and other key stakeholders to ensure the effective communication and implementation of total rewards programs
- Collaborate across the HR team to assess, create and implement innovative solutions for a variety of core associate services to foster an environment of open communications. Lead process improvements across People Services, ensuring all associates are aware of how their work fits within the overall plans
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in total rewards/compensation, with a track record of developing and implementing successful programs
- Familiarity with public company compensation practices, executive compensation, and proxy disclosures (preferred)
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and solve challenging problems in a fast-paced, environment while also working collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement total rewards strategies that support the organizations business goals with attention to detail and accuracy
- Previous experience with working as or with headquarter HR
- Familiarity with compensation survey providers (e.g., Radford, Mercer, Aon)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to total rewards
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
