Walmart Creative Studio is looking for a people-centric leader with a passion for fostering a thriving creative environment! As our Engagement & Experience Manager, you’ll empower our team and build a culture where creativity flourishes. This role is crucial in proactively building engagement strategies and ensuring our studio is a place where every team member feels valued, supported, and inspired.
What Youll Do:
As a people’s advocate, you will be instrumental in shaping the heart of Walmart Creative Studio. Your responsibilities will include:
- Cultivating Connections: Proactively build and nurture positive relationships across and within Walmart Creative Studio, serving as a trusted partner and resource.
- Strategic Engagement: Develop and implement comprehensive engagement strategies that enhance collaboration, foster an inclusive culture, and drive team satisfaction while always mindful of our EDLC (Every Day Low Cost) budget.
- Program Ownership: Design, lead, and project manage a portfolio of employee retention and cultural programs, from onboarding content to team-building initiatives.
- Learning & Development Champion: Support and champion learning and development initiatives, identifying opportunities for growth and professional enrichment within the studio.
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze engagement data, exit interview feedback, and other metrics to inform strategic decisions and continuously improve the teams experience.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with internal teams like Marketing Culture Sparks and HR to align on strategic initiatives and ensure a cohesive approach to employee experience.
- Facilitation & Inspiration: Lead engaging workshops and discussions with empathy and high emotional intelligence, inspiring team members and fostering open dialogue.
- Industry Research: Stay abreast of creative industry trends and best practices in employee engagement and experience, bringing fresh ideas and innovation to the studio.
What Youll Bring:
Were looking for someone with a proven track record of creating impactful cultural programs and a genuine passion for people.
- Experience in Culture Building: Demonstrated success in building, maintaining, and enhancing cultural programming at an organizational level, managing multiple programs simultaneously.
- Coaching & Facilitation Expertise: Strong coaching, mentorship, and facilitation techniques that empower individuals and teams.
- Engagement & Experience Subject Matter Expert: Deep knowledge of the latest trends in employee engagement and experience, with an ability to scale programs for growing organizations.
- Executive Communication: Previous experience delivering compelling reports and insights to executive-level leadership.
- Collaborative & Inclusive Approach: Thrive in creating relationships with cross-functional teams, collaborating closely to brainstorm ideas and drive solutions. Experienced in fostering an environment where diverse opinions are valued, considered, and appreciated, working collaboratively to find resolutions.
- Proactive Problem Solver: A proven focus on proactive and inclusive issue resolution and a commitment to continuous improvement for all systems and processes.
- Exceptional Communication: Clearly articulate thoughts and ideas effectively in written and oral forms to all levels of the organization and externally. Skilled in distilling complex information into compelling, easily digestible and inspiring narratives.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Communicate effectively and build robust relationships across all levels of the organization, both in-person and remotely.
- Project Management: Balance multiple complex projects with competing priorities, communicate status updates thoughtfully, and have experience with process development, improvement, and innovation.
- Data-Driven Decision Maker: A demonstrated history of making data-based decisions, with a keen eye for detail and process improvement when reviewing data.
- Tech Savvy: Well-versed in Microsoft Office 365 products, with experience trying different platforms and a commitment to staying up to date on the latest trends and innovations in engagement technology and collaboration tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4 Years – Experience in Organizational Culture, Talent Development, Employee Experience, or related field
- 2 Years – Experience leading training & development programs for adult learners
- 4 Years – Experience managing people/projects

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sams Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
