Join us today and experience Life at Visa.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>Visa Technology &amp; Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Senior Data Engineer (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to:</p><ul><li>Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture for validating and certifying payment workflows.</li><li>Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.</li><li>Build analytics tools that utilize the data automation pipeline to provide actionable insights into payment workflow efficiency and key quality assurance metrics.</li><li>Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved.</li><li>Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms.</li><li>Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.</li><li>Partner with Product on implementation and testing strategies.</li><li>Work on building and maintaining data integration automation framework for B2B Connect Network.</li><li>Work with team to partner and drive the strategies involving data and service integration with large financial institutions for competitive rate analysis and settlement data.</li><li>Build and maintain data streaming automation framework to support B2B Connect growth.</li><li>Analyze input Data elements across multiple sources and build Data lineage for the Liquidity Management System.</li><li>Contribute to project planning discussions, provide status updates for development progress and be a critical resource for issue resolution.</li><li>Position reports to the Foster City, California office and may allow for partial telecommuting.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>Basic Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Cybersecurity or related field.</li><li>Position requires experience in the following skills through academic coursework and/or work experience:<ul><li>Computer science algorithms fundamentals;</li><li>Experience in at least two of the following programming languages: Java, Go, Scala, Python and/or JavaScript;</li><li>Working in Unix or Linux environments, Open source technologies, and client-server apps;</li><li>Working with multiple database models, such as Relational DBMS, Document, Columnar and Key-Value data stores;</li><li>Working with big data and messaging platforms: Kafka, Flink, Spark, Hadoop, and RabbitMQ;</li><li>Writing code in multiple programming language paradigms such as Object-Oriented and Functional Programming Languages; and</li><li>Quality assurance processes and methodologies with a quality-first attitude.</li></ul></li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong><u>Worksite:</u></strong> Foster City, CA</p><p>This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office.
