Join us today and experience Life at Visa.<h3>Job Description</h3>Visa Technology &amp; Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Machine Learning Engineer – Sr. Consultant level (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to:<ul><li>Develop and maintain critical risk and fraud-detection applications and services, including idea generation, architecture, design, development, and testing.</li><li>Design, implement, and manage machine learning-based security solutions to prevent customer attacks, ensuring continuous performance monitoring and issue mitigation.</li><li>Continuously iterate on machine learning models to enhance precision and recall, optimizing them to meet performance criteria in terms of accuracy and latency.</li><li>Lead the end-to-end development process to deliver high-quality solutions that meet specifications, align with the architectural vision, and adhere to all applicable standards, covering all phases of solution development.</li><li>Collaborate with project team members to develop and implement new data-driven AI/ML-based business solutions, working with senior technical staff and Project Managers to identify, document, plan, track, and manage risks and issues.</li><li>Establish data governance and data management frameworks to efficiently organize and operationalize machine learning pipelines.</li><li>Construct ETL pipelines using technologies like Spark, Python, HIVE, or Scala to process transaction and account-level data and standardize data fields from diverse sources.</li><li>Experiment with and develop custom algorithms using state-of-the-art techniques for modeling and scoring, leveraging machine learning, data mining, and statistical methodologies.</li><li>Communicate status, issues, and risks in a detailed and timely manner to relevant stakeholders.</li><li>Present technical solutions in business terms to non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members to enhance their technical skills and professional development.</li><li>Drive the development effort end-to-end, collaborating closely with senior technical staff and Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery.</li><li>Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3>Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>Employer will accept a PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a machine learning engineer or research scientist-related occupation.</li><li>Position requires experience in the following skills:<ul><li>Machine learning;</li><li>Deep learning;</li><li>Artificial Intelligence;</li><li>Generative AI;</li><li>Statistics;</li><li>Python;</li><li>Pytorch;</li><li>Spark;</li><li>SQL; and</li><li>Creating, implementing, and optimizing advanced AI models.</li></ul></li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3>Worksite: Austin, Texas This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office.
