Please speak with your recruiter to learn more about where Vida is registered.</b></i></div><h3>Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Provide direct patient care- support by prescribing, creating, monitoring and supporting treatment plans in accordance with statutes, regulations and protocols. (80%)</li><li>Issue medication prescriptions in accordance with treatment guidelines.</li><li>Order laboratory tests, interpret and explain the test results to patients.</li><li>Provide patient education regarding medications, risks, benefits and reasonable outcome expectations.</li><li>Communicate with patients and engage in follow-up as necessary.</li><li>Refer higher acuity patients to specialized care based off of a stringent screening guideline to ensure quality of care and the best outcome for patients.</li><li>Maintain medical records and high quality of clinical documentation.</li><li>Provide medical care, patient education and medication prescribing and management in an empathetic and judgment-free manner.</li><li>Cover critical outreach shifts to support remote monitoring up to three days per week (including 2 shift hours on weekends) and some one hour shifts that could be at 7am or 7pm.</li><li>Reach out to members identified by remote monitoring protocols and, if needed prescribe rescue medications or direct to community medicine/emergency services.</li><li>Provide training, clinical oversight and mentorship to NPs, PAs and/or MAs. (20%)</li><li>Support interviewing and hiring of new clinical staff.</li><li>Create and deliver training materials.</li><li>Shadow front line staff delivering patient care and provide clinical feedback.</li><li>Conduct clinical audits and meet with staff in accordance to regulatory guidance.</li><li>Be available for real-time mentorship and questions during working hours from clinical staff.</li><li>Ensure compliance with Vida and client protocols and programs.</li></ul><h3></h3><ul><li>Physician (MD or DO) with active, unrestricted license in 15-20+ states (If you do not meet this requirement, but are close, please still apply).</li><li>Board certification strongly preferred in internal medicine or family medicine- other specialties can be considered with preference for those who have completed a full internal medicine residency.</li><li>Has or will obtain board certification in obesity management from the American Board of Obesity Medicine as soon as practicable at the company’s expense.</li><li>Availability to cover at least three critical outreach shifts/week. Critical outreach shifts take place on weekends, early mornings(7am) or in the evenings(7pm).</li><li>Experience supervising and mentoring clinical staff.</li><li>Experience treating CHF, COPD, Diabetes and/or Obesity preferred.</li><li>Experience working with patients, clients and other clinical providers in an integrated setting.</li><li>Meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Previous experience with quality assurance and improvement practices preferred.</li><li>Experience with digital technology.</li><li>Ability to perform independently, under minimal supervision with accountability for specific goals/objectives.</li><li>Demonstrates problem solving, leadership, conflict management and team building skills in order to ensure a productive work environment and achievement of goals.</li><li>Demonstrates strong aptitude to work in a rapidly changing, start-up environment.</li><li>Proficiency with EMR (electronic medical record) systems.</li></ul><div><i>Vida is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.</i></div><div><br /></div><div><i>Diversity is more than a commitment at Vida—it is the foundation of what we do.
