If this sounds like you and youre excited by the idea of getting in at the ground level to build the infrastructure that will power the future of the financial industry, we would love to hear from you!</div><div><br /></div><div><b>About the role</b></div><div>As our first <b>Technical Writer / Documentation Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)</b> at Vesta, you’ll be responsible for building and scaling the foundation of our customer Help Center—helping our users understand and adopt Vesta’s powerful product features. You’ll create high-quality documentation that empowers customers to self-serve, reduces friction in onboarding, and accelerates product comprehension across our growing user base.</div><div><br /></div><div>In this role, you can expect to:</div><h3></h3><ul><li><b>Build out Vesta’s Help Center</b>, including information architecture, taxonomy, and content structure</li><li><b>Author and maintain</b> clear, concise, and accurate customer-facing product documentation, how-to guides, and FAQs</li><li>Collaborate with <b>Product, Engineering, and Support</b> teams to gather technical details and translate them into customer-friendly materials</li><li>Develop <b>internal documentation templates, style guides, and publishing workflows</b> to ensure consistency and scalability</li><li>Continuously improve existing documentation based on user feedback, analytics, and product updates</li><li>Work closely with Customer Success and Support teams to identify content gaps and opportunities to enhance self-service</li><li>Partner with Product Marketing to align messaging, tone, and visual presentation of help content with broader brand voice</li><li>Help define documentation standards and processes that can scale as the company grows</li></ul><h3>Who you are</h3><ul><li>You are an experienced <b>technical writer or documentation specialist</b> with a deep appreciation for clarity, structure, and the user’s perspective.</li><li>You’re skilled at translating complex, technical concepts into intuitive, customer-facing content.</li><li>You’ve worked with <b>web-based SaaS products</b> and understand the importance of documentation in improving adoption and reducing support load.</li><li>You have experience in or adjacent to the <b>mortgage or financial technology industry</b>, and can quickly grasp domain-specific concepts.</li><li>You love organizing information—whether it’s architecting a Help Center taxonomy, writing detailed how-tos, or crafting product release notes.</li><li>You’re comfortable collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and customer teams to capture the most accurate and useful information.</li><li>You have experience creating and maintaining content in modern documentation systems (e.g., Notion, Zendesk Guide, Intercom, or similar).</li><li>You are self-directed, detail-oriented, and energized by building processes and content systems from scratch.</li></ul><div>This is a <b>contract-to-hire</b> position, ideal for someone who thrives in startup environments, loves building from the ground up, and is excited to make a lasting impact on how our customers learn and succeed with Vesta. After 90 days, we would plan to evaluate bringing this person on as a FTE.
