Were looking for a Staff QA Software Engineer to join our Innovation team where we rapidly prototype Spatial Web technologies and AI applications. ✍️Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Staff QA Software Engineer you will:<ul> <li>Drive test automation with clear metrics showing product health.</li> <li>Build test automation into CICD pipelines.</li> <li>Create multiple types of automated tests including: Unit, Integration, Regression, Performance and Load, and End to End</li> <li>Jump in and learn the technical details of our product to ensure proper test code coverage and be able to deliver the metrics to stakeholders.</li> <li>Proactively develop strategies and tests to “break” the system and ensure high quality.</li> <li>Oversee risk management including defining critical quality attributes, assessing residual risks, and presenting risk/benefit justifications to leadership</li> <li>Mentor and help grow other team members.</li> <li>Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is incorporated in our solutions as customers onboard to the Genius Platform, ensuring a seamless integration and adoption process.</li> <li>Create and maintain software engineering test plans with minimal guidance based on requirements still evolving and to verify the quality and stability of our software engineering code and products </li> <li>Maintain software engineering applications and to make sure there is proper QA documentation and to prepare all required documentation pertinent to software engineering that is relevant for other teams </li> <li>Help set up and suggest any software-related tools and processes to help ensure bug-free software engineering releases </li> </ul>🎓Essential Qualifications <ul> <li>At least 10 years of experience in Saas or similar industry, with a focus on developing solutions for, and supporting, enterprise-scale applications.</li> <li>Fluent in modern testing frameworks such as </li> <li>Cucumber </li> <li>Playwright</li> <li>Selenium</li> <li>Experience developing comprehensive test plans from OpenAPI specifications</li> <li>Experience creating multiple types of automated tests, including: Unit, Integration, Regression, Performance and Load End to End experience with SDK testing</li> <li>Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) </li> <li>Understanding of web technologies and standards, such as REST/CRUD, HTTP, DNS and web security</li> <li>Comfortable working with the popular programming languages used at Verses, such as Python, Typescript and Rust</li> </ul>🎓Additional Qualifications<ul> <li>Experience with pub sub technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Reddis.</li> <li>Experience working with IoT and edge computing technologies</li> <li>Experience with agile software development methodologies</li> <li>Strong probabilistic statistical experience is a plus</li> </ul>Education &amp; Technical Experience<ul> <li>Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related practical experience.</li> <li>Understanding of core machine learning and AI concepts, including generative models (like GPTs), and an awareness of emerging paradigms such as active inference</li> <li>Experience running effective QA in B2B enterprises with operations/customer support/technical support.</li> </ul>Communication and Soft Skills<ul> <li>Self starter who sees what needs to be done and acts with minimal supervision</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills</li> <li>Results focused, prioritizes achieving outcomes and measurable results over completing tasks, emphasizing accountability and continuous improvement to achieve success</li> <li>Team oriented, focused on the success of the team over individual goals, emphasizing collaboration and communication.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>A passion and spirit of innovation</li> </ul>🌱In addition to fostering a culture of highly engaged, emotionally intelligent, and energetic people we offer:<ul> <li>Global virtual work environment (although some positions may need to operate within specific time zones) </li> <li>Responsible paid time off policy (RTO), and company-recognized Holidays.</li> <li>Generous total rewards package</li> </ul> 🌟Job TypeRegular, Full-timeRemote - US and Canada OnlyStarting at $165,000 for US based individuals; geographically adjusted as appropriate to location.
