Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this leadership role drives the strategic alignment of procurement, inventory, and NPI support with Vention’s engineering and manufacturing objectives. You will lead a team of buyers and collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, and Quality to ensure cost-effective, reliable, and scalable supply chains. This position combines deep category expertise, data-driven decision-making, and supplier development to optimize quality, cost, and delivery performance across the electronics and automation value stream.<ul><li>Lead sourcing and procurement for electrical, electronic, and automation components (PCBs, harnesses, sensors, controllers, motors).</li><li>Develop and execute category strategies to optimize cost, lead time, and supplier quality performance.</li><li>Collaborate with Engineering on NPI and DFM initiatives to ensure manufacturability, cost, and supply readiness for new products.</li><li>Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews, risk assessments, and strategic sourcing initiatives.</li><li>Negotiate contracts, pricing, and long-term supply agreements to support Vention’s growth objectives.</li><li>Oversee ERP/MRP planning processes to ensure accurate material master data, lead times, and inventory visibility.</li><li>Work with Quality and Engineering to manage supplier qualification, PPAP/FAI processes, and compliance documentation.</li><li>Monitor market trends in electronics, automation, and semiconductor industries to anticipate risks and opportunities.</li><li>Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to improve efficiency and reduce waste.</li><li>Mentor and develop junior buyers or specialists, fostering a culture of operational excellence and professional growth.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline; Master’s degree or specialization in Supply Chain is an asset.</li><li>3-4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain leadership roles focused on electrical, electronic, or automation components.</li><li>Strong understanding of electronic assemblies, PCBs, sensors, wiring harnesses, motors, and industrial control systems.</li><li>Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics tools; experience with SAP or Odoo preferred.</li><li>Proven leadership, negotiation, and supplier management skills in a global manufacturing context.</li><li>Experience supporting NPI and applying DFM principles for electronic or mechatronic systems.</li><li>Demonstrated success in supplier development, risk management, and cost reduction initiatives.</li><li>Knowledge of Lean, ISO, or quality-driven manufacturing environments.</li><li>Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with cross- functional collaboration experience</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3>‍How We Take Care of You<ul><li>Flexible paid time off and remote work policies</li><li>Complimentary beverages and snacks so that you are fueled and ready for your day</li><li>Career growth opportunities.
