The Senior Embedded Software Developer is called to work in various phases of a project, from initial R+D of new products to the support of existing tools and APIs. More specifically you will: <ul><li>Implement and maintain motion control firmware applications</li><li>Integrate and Modify new motion planning solutions for Ventions Firmware Stack</li><li>Expose this functionality by extending Ventions APIs and SDKs</li><li>Work with Thirdparty manufacturers to enable seamless integration with the Vention automation ecosystem</li><li>Program embedded devices using Python and C++ to extend Ventions automation ecosystem</li><li>Test and debug firmware using HW debuggers, HW schematics, oscilloscope  and breadboard circuits</li><li>Assist our clients by helping them configure, test, and program their automated machine.</li><li>Write unit, integration and end to end tests to support the feature development and ensure software quality.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>5+ years of experience working in the field of Embedded Software Engineering</li><li>Programming languages (Python, JavaScript, C/C++) on embedded Linux systems</li><li>Understanding of TCP/IP, REST, and message brokers (MQTT), </li><li>Understanding of distributed system design and the related technical challenges</li><li>Understanding of control software, internet technologies and Client/Server models</li><li>Practical experience testing code and modules against common use cases</li></ul>Nice to have(s):<ul><li>Knowledge of industrial automation (nice to have)</li><li>Knowledge of embedded systems (nice to have)</li><li>Knowledge of Industrial protocols (nice to have)</li><li>CiA402 Drive Profile for CANOpen</li><li>Protocols of communications, such as:  EtherCAT, RS485, SPI, I2C, sockets, CANOpen and gRPC</li><li>Experience with Software Design Patterns</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3>How We Take Care of You<ul><li>Flexible paid time off and remote work policies.</li><li>Complimentary beverages and snacks so that you are fuelled and ready for your day.</li><li>Global comprehensive health plans so you feel your best.</li><li>Career growth opportunities.
