You will be Vectara’s brand ambassador and the first touch point for new customers. You will be able to identify and source potential new opportunities, illuminate Vectara’s unique technology and business value, and generate excitement that leads to a pipeline of great prospects for the company. The deals you close will be the foundation of long term relationships between the company and customers who love us.</span></div><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Independently manage full sales cycles with small and mid-size companies, both creating leads from outbound efforts and converting inbound inquiries including negotiations, initial close, upsell and renewal. </li><li>Team selling model requiring internal collaboration with sales development, field engineering, partner ecosystem, product marketing, customer success and leadership cohorts to delight our customers.</li><li>Commission-based role requiring consistent quota attainment.</li><li>Sales professional that finds &amp; guides prospects through the Vectara buyer’s journey aligning relevant use cases and authoring tailored value propositions.</li><li>Convincingly articulate the Vectara business value proposition to technical &amp; business  decision makers.  </li><li>Effectively manage a large pipeline of leads and opportunities in our CRM tool, maintaining accurate and relevant data on prospects and interactions.</li><li>Travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry / field marketing events.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>SaaS-native sales experience. </li><li>Prior experience selling AI, search and/or data infrastructure software to technical teams and business executives.</li><li>Discovery skills across a diverse range of potential use cases. </li><li>Unshakeable work ethic, entrepreneurial/startup mindset, and desire to succeed in a fast, ever changing environment.</li><li>Empathetic, humble and coachable customer-centric seller.</li><li>Strong public speaking and presentation acumen required.</li><li>Must be organized, detail-oriented and process-driven with a relentless pursuit of results.</li><li>Ability to understand and communicate advanced technology concepts.</li><li>5-7 years experience selling enterprise software (SaaS, Cloud preferred) as a primary account manager.</li><li>Four-year university/college degree or equivalent experience required.</li><li>Successful with both remote and in person selling</li></ul><div><span>Vectara welcomes all.
