We expect you to play an integral role as a thought leader, shaping our design practice as we continue to scale rapidly.What you’ll do as a Design Manager at Vanta:<ul><li>You will be responsible for managing and growing a team of designers working across multiple EPD squads. </li><li>Your focus will be bringing new capabilities to the Vanta platform that help us better meet the needs of a wide range of customers: from small startups who value speed, to large companies with complex requirements. </li><li>Ensure that our efforts across multiple teams fit together to form a coherent product, from design system details, to workflows, all the way up to mental models. </li><li>Coach and mentor a growing team of Product Designers, providing the expertise, direction, and support needed for high performance.</li><li>Build a best-in-class team, maintaining high standards for customer experience, design quality, and team cohesion.</li><li>Establish strong partnerships with Product and Engineering teams, fostering a sense of joint ownership and effective collaboration, and work cross-functional with partners in GTM.</li><li>Contribute to the product strategy and roadmap, working with Engineering and Product partners, and create the design vision for your domain, aligning it with our business strategy, advocating for customer outcomes and world-class user experience.</li></ul>How to be successful in this role:<ul><li>Have 10+ years of product design experience, with deep experience working on complex B2B and B2C SaaS products and 3+ years of successfully building and managing design teams.</li><li>Evidence of getting into the details to uphold a high standard of B2B design quality (UX and UI) and craftsmanship in your team’s work.</li><li>Proven track record of producing designs that impact the business – by digging in yourself, leading through others, and influencing internal stakeholders.</li><li>Deep experience partnering well with product management and engineering counterparts.</li><li>Passion for leading, coaching, and building an inspired team through setting vision, unlocking potential, and driving compassionate accountability. Ability to establish a vibrant, opinionated, and inclusive design culture. </li><li>Deep curiosity about AI and cybersecurity. Prior experience in security is helpful but not required.
