About the role

Vannevar has historically had a cross-functional HR team, with pooled responsibilities across business operations and finance leaders. We are looking for a self-driving, highly organized candidate to own critical HR processes, partner with operations leadership to align HR strategies to business outcomes, and serve as a centralized resource (the “go-to” for questions) for the company.

What you’ll do

Execute core HR duties, including payroll, compensation, onboarding, and offboarding processes
Manage our highest-priority People processes, including biannual review cycles, training and development, and cultural initiatives as we scale
Serve as an employee resource on compensation, benefits, accommodations, and relations
Oversee our compliance with HR-related regulations and applicable employment laws
Support analysis of HR and People-related data to inform leadership decisions

What we’re looking for

Based in DC or willing to travel to DC 2-3x/monthly for in-person onboarding weeks
3+ years of full-time experience in HR, with previous tech startup exposure a plus
Proactive, high-ownership mindset with proven track record of “getting things done”
Proven ability to innovate, scale, and automate HR processes
Excitement about national security and defense missions

What we offer

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 + equity + 401K match. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, relevant education, and / or training.
