Junior Support Engineer – Hybrid – Barcelona

We are hiring at VSN, a leading global technology company specialized in developing advanced software solutions for the Broadcast, Media and Entertainment industries, for a driven and ambitious Junior Support Engineer to join our growing support team in Barcelona.

As a Junior Support Engineer, your core mission is to ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality technical support. You will manage and resolve less complex technical issues, escalate more complex ones, and maintain clear communication with clients throughout the resolution process. Your role also involves contributing to documentation, participating in team collaboration, attending meetings, and assisting with system maintenance and updates. This position offers a learning-rich environment, allowing you to grow technically and professionally while supporting the department’s success.

The support team is a collaborative, knowledge-sharing group committed to delivering exceptional customer service. It includes junior and senior engineers who work closely together to resolve cases efficiently and support each other’s growth. Daily internal meetings foster open communication, idea exchange, and mutual support. The team also maintains expertise in the full Media product portfolio and participates actively in client interactions and company initiatives.

The successful candidate will be based anywhere within a commutable distance of our office in Barcelona, working in a hybrid work model!

What your day will look like:

  • Handle technical incidents reported by clients through the ticketing system
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to software, networking, or system configuration
  • Reproduce bugs in testing environments to validate behaviors and propose solutions
  • Communicate with development or QA teams to escalate bugs or complex issues
  • Proactively follow up on open tickets and keep clients informed about the status of their requests
  • Document procedures, solutions, and best practices in the internal knowledge base
  • Participate in daily team meetings to coordinate priorities and share updates
  • Assist with remote installation or configuration of software for new clients or version upgrades
  • Provide functional support and guidance to clients on how to use the product
  • Perform basic testing of new developments before they are released to clients

About You:

  • Basic knowledge of the technologies and systems supported
  • Quick learner with the ability to absorb new technologies and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Strong problem-solving skills for basic issues
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks and perform under pressure
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to learn from senior engineers
  • Proactive and capable of working independently when needed
  • Fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal, is essential
  • Professional level of English, both written and verbal
  • Legally authorized to work in Spain
