Were engineers at heart, with a QA-first mindset and a passion for building robust, scalable systems that reveal issues before our customers do. </div><h3>What Youll Do</h3><ul><li><b>Develop &amp; Maintain Automation</b>: Write clean, modular, and data-driven test code that adapts to evolving APIs and features, helping reduce flakiness and brittleness in automation.</li><li><b>Contribute to Test Frameworks</b>: Assist in building and enhancing frameworks that validate complex systems, including telecom protocols, APIs, and media flows.</li><li><b>Hands-On Testing</b>: Participate in functional, regression, and integration testing across distributed environments—learning how to analyze failures and reproduce tricky edge cases.</li><li><b>Collaborate Across Teams</b>: Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to ensure that quality is embedded in every stage of the development lifecycle.</li><li><b>Learn CI/CD Practices</b>: Support Jenkins pipelines, containerized test environments, and automated regression runs, building familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.</li><li><b>Explore Data Analysis</b>: Query SQL and NoSQL databases to set up test data, validate results, and troubleshoot automation issues.</li><li><b>Support Agile Delivery</b>: Take part in sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming with a QA-first mindset.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications - We encourage you to apply if you think your experience may be a match, even if you do not meet all the qualifications. </h3><ul><li>Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience </li><li>Experience: 0–2+ years in software development or test automation. </li><li>Programming Skills: Familiarity with languages such as Ruby, Java, C#/.NET, C++, Perl, Python, or JavaScript.</li><li>Test Frameworks: Exposure to tools such as JUnit, NUnit, TestNG, RSpec, or Cucumber.</li><li>Platforms: Comfortable working in Linux and/or Windows environments.</li><li>Databases: Basic knowledge of SQL and NoSQL systems. </li><li>Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and troubleshoot complex issues in a short time.</li><li>Agile Mindset: Experience with Agile or similar iterative development methodologies.</li></ul><div><b>Who We Are</b></div><div>At Vail, we believe in the unique power of voice interactions to create more expressive, more intimate, and more efficient interpersonal interactions.
