Be part of what truly makes us special and impactful.The OpportunityWe are seeking a Privacy Advisor - Risk and Compliance Advisor I to provide independent oversight and guidance on our business products and processes within a robust risk and compliance framework. Candidates should have at least four years of experience, with an ability to analyze regulatory changes and implement compliance measures accordingly. Effective communication skills are needed, as is the ability to synthesize complex risk data for diverse partners. Relevant certifications such as CIPP/US or CIPM are preferred, alongside strong collaboration skills across all organizational levels.We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, and Charlotte, NCRelocation assistance is not available for this position.What youll do:<ul><li>Partners with key team members in the business to identify, assess, aggregate and detail operational and compliance risks and controls, including operational and compliance risks associated with new or modified products, services, distribution channels, laws, regulations, and third-party operations using maturing knowledge.</li><li>Applies maturing knowledge of the business, its products, and processes, to identify, work, and raise operational risk and compliance issues.</li><li>Supports and contributes to the implementation of new risk and compliance policies, practices, and solutions to ensure multidisciplinary understanding and management of operational and compliance risks according to industry standard process.</li><li>Captures information, analyzes data trends, and produces analytical material for discussions with cross functional teams to understand business objectives and influence solution strategies.</li><li>Assists in the formulation of stress test plans for a line of business or the enterprise including the evaluation of results and framing of contingency plans in partnership with key business partners.</li><li>Supports processes that focus on improving strategies, tools, and methodologies to measure, monitor, and report on operational and compliance risks.</li><li>Contributes in cross-functional teams to identify, assess, aggregate, and mitigate current and emerging risk.</li><li>Supports and implements processes to measure, monitor, and report on operational and compliance risks.</li></ul>What you have:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.</li><li>4 years experience in the financial services or insurance industry or niche technical fields directly related to the role.</li><li>Knowledge of risk and/or compliance management principles, tools, and applicable systems</li><li>Awareness and ability to apply risk and compliance laws, regulations, and regulatory expectations.</li><li>Ability to work with internal and external partners in a highly collaborative environment.</li><li>Critical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.</li><li>Experience identifying potential concerns and recommending effective solutions.</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint.</li></ul>What sets you apart:<ul><li>4 years of privacy, compliance, risk or regulatory related experience with accountability for programs, processes or policies.</li><li>Ability to analyze information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.</li><li>Ability to monitor and track changes in laws and regulations, and assist with the development, implementation, and administration of the compliance framework for new laws and regulations.</li><li>Shown ability to analyze large bodies of risk data and communicate results in a concise and comprehensive manner to multiple partners across the organization.</li><li>Ability to collaborate and implement among cross-functional teams, including all levels of the organization</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT or related information security or risk certifications</li></ul>Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $85,040, - $162,550 .USAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role. Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive.
