This role involves providing independent oversight and guidance within a risk and compliance framework to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and USAA’s policies. The ideal candidate will challenge and support the execution of business products, services, and processes through ongoing monitoring and reporting on business initiatives. Candidates must have at least 2 years of validated experience in the financial services or insurance industry, or technical fields directly related to the role.We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, or Charlotte, NC.Relocation assistance is not available for this position.What youll do:<ul><li>Partners with key customers in the business to identify, assess, aggregate and document operational and compliance risks and controls, including operational and compliance risks associated with new or modified products, services, distribution channels, laws, regulations, and third-party operations using maturing knowledge.</li><li>Applies maturing knowledge of the business, its products, and processes, to identify, work, and raise operational risk and compliance issues.</li><li>Supports the implementation of new risk and compliance policies, practices, and solutions to ensure multidisciplinary understanding and management of operational and compliance risks according to industry standard process.</li><li>Collects information, analyzes data trends, and produces analytical material for discussions with cross functional teams to understand business objectives and influence solution strategies.</li><li>Assists in the formulation of stress test plans for a line of business or the enterprise including the evaluation of results and framing of contingency plans in partnership with key business partners.</li><li>Supports processes that focus on improving strategies, tools, and methodologies to measure, monitor, and report on operational and compliance risks.</li><li>Contributes in cross-functional teams to identify, assess, aggregate, and mitigate current and emerging risk.</li><li>Supports and implements processes to measure, monitor, and report on operational and compliance risks.</li></ul>What you have:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.</li><li>2 years experience in the financial services or insurance industry or technical fields directly related to the role.</li><li>Knowledge of risk and/or compliance management principles, tools, and applicable systems</li><li>Awareness and ability to apply risk and compliance laws, regulations, and regulatory expectations.</li><li>Ability to work with internal and external partners in a highly collaborative environment.</li><li>Critical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.</li><li>Experience identifying potential concerns and recommending effective solutions.</li><li>Experience of Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint.</li></ul>What sets you apart:<ul><li>Two or more years experience in Customer Identity and Access Management, fraud prevention and/or detection, compliance, risk, legal, or audit within the financial services or insurance industry or technical fields directly related to the role.</li><li>Risk and Compliance industry certification or designations (CISSP, CRISC, CIAM, CIMP, CISA, CFE, or CAFS).</li><li>Attention to detail, timeliness, communication and ability to communicate at all levels.</li><li>Experience independently developing clear and concise written analysis and presenting conclusions / findings to senior management.</li></ul>Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $85,040 - $162,550.USAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role. Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive.
