This role assists in driving innovation in audit execution by identifying data analytics opportunities, and by developing, deploying &amp; supporting data analysis solutions.We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, or Charlotte, NC. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.What youll do:<ul><li>Executes data analytics approaches in support of internal audits.</li><li>Applies data-driven analytic capabilities to identify anomalies, outliers, emerging trends, and operational risks within assigned audits.</li><li>Applies analytical approaches to draw conclusions and make insight to action recommendations to answer both audit/business objectives.</li><li>Translates recommendation into communication materials to effectively present to colleagues for peer review and senior/lead analysts.</li><li>Delivers analysis and findings to mid-level management, garners support for recommendations to assist in driving business decisions.</li><li>Assist the team in navigating within diverse environments to locate, validate, extract, and format data for data analysis testing.</li><li>Thoroughly documents assumptions, methodology, validation and testing to facilitate peer reviews and compliance requirements.</li><li>Builds knowledge in designing data visualizations with more complex tools to support analytical and reporting needs.</li><li>Assist and begins to build recurring and continuous reporting and automation solutions in various analytics tools (e.g., SQL or SAS) to support risk identification.</li></ul>What you have:<ul><li>Bachelors degree in quantitative analytics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Data and/or Business Analysis, Data Science, or other quantitative discipline. 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.</li><li>2 years of data analytical experience to include visualization tools.</li><li>1 year experience applying and working on data and analytics in an audit, risk, or similar controls environment.</li><li>1 year SQL or SAS data programming experience.</li><li>Ability to understand and/or identify issues from a data perspective.</li><li>Experience effectively communicating data to peers and business partners.</li><li>Experience working on business reporting or dashboards.</li><li>Experience developing operational reporting.</li><li>Experience in data processing, database programming, and/or data analytics.</li><li>Ability to create data solutions that are efficient, effective, and essential.</li></ul>What sets you apart:<ul><li>Experience in Tableau, Python and/or Snowflake</li><li>Audit experience</li></ul>Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $69,920- $133,620.USAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role. Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive.
