A Brief Overview The Operations Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of Operations Coordinators and Leads.This position is expected to work weekends. What you will do<ul><li>Oversee all work activities of functional area.</li><li>Establish work schedule and develop cost effective plan to meet store operations goals.</li><li>Schedule and coordinate deliveries and/ or pick-ups. Coordinate this schedule with sales and shipping departments.</li><li>Maintain equipment and machinery.</li><li>Work to ensure a safe work environment and encourages adherence to safety guidelines.</li><li>Prepare and verify reports as applicable.</li><li>Supervise personnel and ensure adherence to department/ company policies and procedures.</li><li>Perform personnel management duties including training, hiring, terminating, performance management, and departmental wage recommendations.</li><li>Maintain inventory of respective area.</li><li>Monitor the safety of the work area and ensures adherence to the guidelines.</li><li>Monitor costs of assigned area.</li><li>Criteria for Supervisor:</li><li>Supervise 4 or more associates (direct &amp; indirect reports)</li><li>Budgeting responsibilities (may or may not have full P&amp;L accountability)</li><li>Hire/fire input</li><li>Goal setting &amp; communication (directly or relaying from management)</li><li>Provide performance feedback</li></ul> Required For All Jobs<ul><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li><li>Comply with all policies and standards.</li><li>Adheres to Company’s commitment to workplace safety.</li></ul> Education Qualifications<ul><li>High School Diploma required.</li></ul> Experience Qualifications<ul><li>1-3 years of experience supervising workers and work groups in a related work environment (i.e., warehouse, lumber yard, etc.) required.</li><li>Experience supervising a workforce of 15 to 50 subordinates.</li></ul> Skills and Abilities<ul><li>Ability to develop, promote and maintain good customer relations.</li><li>Must have a good understanding of OSHA requirements.</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li><li>Ability to maintain good housekeeping and safe working environment.</li><li>Proficiency in leadership duties including excellent professional communication skills and an ability to motivate a team in a challenging and fast-paced environment.</li><li>Excellent teamwork &amp; customer relationships.</li></ul>.
