This role sits in the Inventory and Buying optimization sub-team of the Replenishment Excellence (RE) team, which provides centralized support to the area buying teams. The optimization sub-team team owns inventory management policies, upfront and ongoing vendor parameters refresh, and supports area buying teams on SOQ quality and other automation.The Senior Replenishment Optimization Analyst is assigned to a specific region and owns all replenishment parameters for that region including support of area buying teams to drive upfront item/vendor setup, interval optimization, PO optimization, target inventory levels and recovery. The role serves as the primary point of Contact (POC) for an assigned region for all PO buying related issues, upfront setup and ongoing optimization.
Drives high trust in PO Suggested Order Quantities (SOQs) and maintain all policies and parameters within the Replenishment Buying systems for assigned region/category.
Flexible Work Policy: The Sr Replenishment Optimization Analyst position has been segmented as Hybrid, meaning the work is a combination of onsite (2 days per month) and virtual. This position is based out of our corporate headquarters in Rosemont, IL
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Role assigned to a specific region and serves as primary point of contact for all replenishment optimization, SOQ and other queries
Optimized upfront and ongoing vendor and item setup for replenishment buying:
Drive quality optimization outputs in coordination with area buying and cross-functional teams for an assigned region
- Vendor order group refresh: Drive ongoing (quarterly) refresh of vendor order groups with quality recommendation; bring alignment with area buying leadership on suggested changes; Manage RIO (replenishment internal optimization) functionality within SCPO and drive adoption of tool
- PO parameters quarterly refresh: Drive ongoing refresh (quarterly) of PO parameters and reviews with area buying teams on suggested changes; own quality of output and alignment with area teams
- Blueprint setup coordination: Provide timely input to category management and logistics teams on blueprint setup; review blueprint output and ensure that total landed costs are optimal
- Inventory Optimization: Provide timely inputs on inventory optimization efforts via segmentation
Area buying team support on SOQ (Suggested order quantity), buyer training and automation:
For assigned region, provide timely and adequate support to buying teams
- PO buying troubleshooting: Troubleshoot PO buying issues (e.g., SOQ quality issues) escalated by area buying teams
- SOQ quality and compliance tracking: Track SOQ quality and work with area buying leadership to drive higher compliance within buyers; own SOQ compliance metric for assigned regions
- Automated PO processing: Drive higher automation by increasing POs that can be set for automated processing (no buyer touch); track compliance to volume set for automated POs
- Transfer PO building: Assist area buying teams to drive high automation for transfer PO issuance
- Buyer training & onboarding: Conduct training for new and existing buyers on SCPO and other PO buying related processes
Process & continuous improvement:
Help drive process consistency and build strong competencies within the optimization team
- Subject matter expertise: Assume SME role in SCPO buying and help build optimization approaches and process documents; assist with onboarding and training of new buyers.
- Continuous improvement: Share current challenges, operational learnings, and opportunities with the RE demand planning team and brainstorm ways to address (e.g., modeling techniques)
- Systems trust & reliance: Drive high reliance, trust and adoption of SCPO generated forecast for assigned segment. Work with assigned leader to address challenges regarding broad adoption

RELATIONSHIPS
This role sits within the Replenishment function, and it is part of the Replenishment Excellence (RE) team. Within RE, the role is part of the Inventory and buying optimization sub-team. Given the cross-functional nature of this role, there is a need to build and maintain communications with multiple functions within the company.
- Area buying team: The role directly supports the area buying team and works closely with the buyers, area directors, region directors, and senior directors
- Replenishment Excellence Leaders and Peers: Interact with the Replenishment Excellence leader on a frequent basis. Extensively interact with peers within other RE sub-teams: Demand Planning and Strategy
- Additional functions to work closely with:
- Category Management: blueprint coordination, item and vendor setup
- Finance: inventory targets
- Logistics and DC operations: vendor / order group optimization, total landed cost, slotting
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Hybrid: This role is partially remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a combined home-based and office-based environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of experience with optimization techniques and using data analytics to drive recommendations
- Experience with supply chain processes including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning
- Proficiency in utilizing BY SCPO/ E3/ AWR/ Manugistics or other supply-chain management software
- Proficiency in data analysis & visualization tools (i.e., Excel, Sigma, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally and draw linkages to business
- High attention to detail, strong customer orientation, and fact-based decision making
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, analytics, supply chain, engineering or similar functions or equivalent military or professional experience

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between
