This leader drives the establishment and continuous improvement of software development lifecycle methodologies and technical standards. They collaborate closely with Product Delivery Leads and Product Teams to define, prioritize, and deliver product and technical roadmaps across all areas of Supply Chain—including demand and supply planning, warehousing, transportation and logistics, and fleet management.<br /><br />About the Team:<br /><br />This team is at the forefront of digital transformation within the Supply Chain organization. The group partners across functions to ensure alignment with business goals, technical feasibility, and long-term supportability, while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.<p></p><p></p><p><span><b><span>Flexible Work Policy: The work for the Director Supply Chain Engineering position is completely remote anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.  This position may require up to 10% travel.</span></b></span></p><p></p><h2><b>What Youll Do:</b></h2><ul><li><h2>Lead the transformation of supply chain technology from mainframe systems to modern digital platforms.</h2></li><li><h2>Establish and maintain robust support models for all applications in the portfolio.</h2></li><li><h2>Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies that enhance digital capabilities.</h2></li><li><h2>Champion modern technology solutions in partnership with Product Teams and Delivery Leaders.</h2></li><li><h2>Lead agile transformation and coach product delivery teams on standards, technical approaches, and impediment removal.</h2></li><li><h2>Monitor KPIs and implement mechanisms to improve product team velocity, system health, and service levels.</h2></li><li><h2>Manage intake and prioritization of internal and external resourcing demands, balancing capacity, skills, and budget.</h2></li><li><h2>Hire, train, and mentor a high-performing team of software engineers and future engineering leaders.</h2></li><li><h2>Oversee departmental P&amp;L forecasting and manage operating and capital expenses in alignment with organizational goals.</h2></li></ul><p></p><h2><b>What Youll Bring:</b></h2><ul><li><h2>8+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years managing software engineering teams.</h2></li><li><h2>Proven success leading large-scale agile software projects and full product lifecycle ownership.</h2></li><li><h2>Demonstrated strategic thinking across business, product, and technical domains.</h2></li><li><h2>Experience in hiring, coaching, and developing engineering talent and leaders.</h2></li><li><h2>Strong vendor management experience across software, services, and talent.</h2></li><li><h2>Expertise in scalable system design and architecture.</h2></li><li><h2>Proven ability for solving complex business and technical challenges.</h2></li><li><h2>Knowledge of DevOps concepts, telemetry, alerting, agile development, and test-driven development.</h2></li><li><h2>Web and mobile technical knowledge in Angular, Node.js, Kubernetes, MongoDB, MySQL, Kafka, Oracle, and Mulesoft.</h2></li><li><h2>Effective communication across all levels of management.</h2></li><li><h2>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.</h2></li><li><h2>Willingness to travel 5–10% for site visits.</h2></li></ul><p></p><h2><b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></h2><ul><li><h2>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, OR related field, OR equivalent experience.</h2></li><li><h2>8+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years managing software engineering teams.</h2></li></ul><p></p><h2><b>Supervision:</b></h2><ul><li><h2>Manage and develop a staff of 10+ direct and dotted line reports, plus contractors.</h2></li></ul><p></p><h2><b>Relationships:</b></h2><ul><li><h2><b>Internal:</b> Executive leadership, Sr. Leadership Team, Supply Chain, Digital &amp; Technology, Transformation Office, HR, Finance, Legal</h2></li><li><h2><b>External:</b> Technology vendors, consulting firms, industry organizations</h2></li></ul><p></p><h2><b>Work Environment:</b></h2><ul><li><h2><b>Remote:</b> This role is fully remote.
