As a Senior Software Engineer on the Auto Lending Growth team at Upstart, you will work closely with cross-functional partners to execute projects across the whole stack. You’re a self-starter who delivers work with quality, testability, resiliency, and maintainability in mind. You’ll move efficiently and deliberately to drive both existing and greenfield projects forward, while always keeping our end users in mind.  How you’ll make an impact <ul> <li>Lead successful projects working collaboratively with engineering team members and cross-functional partners</li> <li>Make thoughtful architectural decisions to improve the quality of our software</li> <li>Translate complex business requirements into technical plans, and ultimately high quality code</li> <li>Drive a culture of technical excellence</li> </ul> Minimum Qualifications  <ul> <li>6+ years working with full stack web applications</li> <li>3+ years of experience working in a full stack capacity with NodeJS/Typescript and React or equivalent</li> <li>Able to translate complex business requirements into system architecture and technical designs</li> <li>Experience with cloud computing platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP</li> <li>Experience leading engineers on medium to large projects through planning, design, implementation, and launch</li> <li>Experience driving a culture of technical excellence related to quality, availability, and scalability</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications <ul> <li>Experience deploying web applications on Vercel and/or with Next</li> </ul> Position Location - This role is available in the following locations: Remote, San Mateo, Columbus, Austin  Time Zone Requirements - This team operates across all U.S. time zones. Travel Requirements - This team has regular on-site collaboration sessions. These occur 3 days per quarter at an Upstart office. If you need to travel to make these meetups, Upstart will cover all travel related expenses. Your actual base pay will depend on your geographic location–with our “digital first” philosophy, Upstart uses compensation regions that vary depending on location.
