Candidates should have experience building and leading teams that develop software for custom silicon. Untether values tight hardware/software co-design. We are looking for a leader who will bring technical excellence to the firmware and validation team while building constructive partnerships with other cross-functional groups.</div><h3>Responsibilities </h3><ul><li>Manage and grow the Firmware and Silicon Validation teams</li><li>Lead through the entire product life cycle - concept through end of life</li><li>Deliver firmware, validation infrastructure, and tests suitable for simulation, rapid</li><li>prototyping, hardware bringup, manufacturing test, and mission mode deployment</li><li>Contribute strategic direction for the broader company</li><li>Drive detailed planning and execution across the team and with partner teams</li></ul><h3>The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, and experience:</h3><ul><li>Must have technical and people leadership experience</li><li>Must have developed high end custom silicon (CPU, GPU, SOC, NICs, etc.)</li><li>Must have 1st silicon success experience for first power on of new hardware</li><li>Has lead firmware and/or silicon validation teams</li><li>Familiar with clocks, resets, PCB components, and complex IPs like PCIE or DRAM</li><li>Delivered test software to silicon and PCB manufacturing</li><li>Co-designed and co-planned silicon with hardware, software, and product teams</li><li>Expert in HW and SW best practices.
