You have the experience, impeccable craft, and confidence to set a bold direction. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, content, and external agency partners to ensure our look &amp; feel is distinct, consistent and persuasive. This role requires a blend of exceptional creativity, strategic thinking, and leadership to ensure the Underdog brand resonates with our audience and positions us a leader in the category. This role requires a deep understanding of our category, and the ability to create exceptional work.</em></p> <ul> <li><strong>Champion the Underdog brand</strong> — evolve our visual identity and ensure it’s applied consistently, persuasively, and distinctively across all channels.</li> <li><strong>Set the creative direction</strong> — lead design across campaigns, digital experiences, and branded content that capture the spirit of “Fan’s Best Friend.”<br /><strong>Drive creative excellence</strong> — partner with marketing and content teams to ensure every output meets the highest standards of craft and brand clarity.</li> <li><strong>Collaborate cross-functionally</strong> — work closely with Product, Promotion, and Growth teams to deliver unified, high-impact experiences.</li> <li><strong>Leverage data and insight</strong> — use audience research and campaign performance to inform design strategy and continuously raise the bar.</li> <li><strong>Manage external partners</strong> — lead agencies and creative collaborators with clarity, feedback, and inspiration.</li> <li><strong>Mentor and elevate</strong> — grow internal design talent and culture around bold ideas and impeccable execution.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Who you are:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>10+ years of agency or in-house experience leading brand design or art direction.</li> <li>A portfolio packed with world-class, category-defining work — especially in sports, entertainment, or lifestyle.</li> <li>Proven track record of shaping distinctive brand identities and design systems that drive measurable impact.</li> <li>Deep experience with integrated campaigns and cross-channel storytelling.</li> <li>Confident presenter and creative storyteller with executive presence.</li> <li>Expert in balancing craft, speed, and scalability in a fast-moving environment.</li> <li>Thrives in ambiguity — proactive, decisive, and energized by building something great.</li> </ul> <p><em>Our target starting base salary range for this position is between $140,000 and $157,500, plus target equity.
