This is a great opportunity for a data scientist who enjoys seeing their product become customer facing quickly and efficiently.</p> <h3>About the role</h3> <ul> <li>Working with an international team of sports modelers to build a range of models to assist with our unique Underdog  business.</li> <li>You will build predictive and simulation models to underpin the pricing of a range of our products across major US sports</li> <li>Analyzing defining and performing on the performance of our models to identify opportunities of improvement.</li> <li>Collaborating with engineering and trading teams on the design, implementation and refinement of models.</li> </ul> <h3>Who you are</h3> <ul> <li>2+ years of full time experience in a fast-paced financial or similar setting</li> <li>Strong programming skills in Python and R, with experience using libraries such as Pandas, scikit-learn, and TensorFlow</li> <li>Solid understanding of statistical methods and their application in data analysis</li> <li>Ability to write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from databases</li> <li>Familiarity with big data tools like Spark and Kafka</li> <li>Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline design</li> <li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field</li> </ul> <h3>Even better if you have</h3> <ul> <li>Have experience working as a data scientist in the sports or finance industries.</li> </ul> <p><em>Our target starting base salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $150,000, plus target equity.
