About the team:
UKG Cloud Infra Network team is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer with private and public cloud experience to join our Cloud Infrastructure team, supporting our private and public cloud solutions. As our products grow, we are continually enhancing our cloud-based infrastructure to scale and improve our services’ performance, scalability and reliability.
In this exciting and dynamic role, you will help support and improve the networking infrastructure for our public and private cloud environments. • Experience and comprehensive knowledge of routing and networking fundamentals (BGP, GRE, TLS, DNS, Load Balancing, etc.) along with working independently in the deployment of Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Illumio systems for large-scale cloud and enterprise environments
• Experience and comprehensive knowledge of Public Cloud environments (GCP, AWS, AZURE) and associated networking technologies (VPCs, Shared VPC, Load Balancing, HA & DR configurations, etc.)
• Experience working on projects with a cross-functional team of experts to create best-practice private and public-cloud networking environments at scale.
• Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes to network-specific events.
• Participate in on-call rotation and handle escalations in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide user support, incident responses, and detailed summary to leaders or upper management.
• Proven familiarity and experience with Network automation, orchestration and Infrastructure – as- Code technologies.
About the Role:
• Responsible for UKG’s data network infrastructure including but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, network taps, tools, and load balancers; both physical and virtual
• Design and maintain continuous integration systems
Build out test and production network appliances, installation of software and applications via infrastructure as code automation
• Improve, innovate, and create enhancements to existing processes and policies
Assist in the architecture, design, implementation in both our private and public cloud builds
• Ensure that proper operational plans and documentation are delivered with each initiative
• Provide and maintain clear, consistent, and accurate documentation of network topologies and standards, including documentation of ISO and other related standards and/or regulatory compliance
• Work from ticket queue on provisioning, break-fix, and new initiatives along with maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting all adds, moves and changes to the environments.
• Follow routine operational tasks such as device backups, code management, configuration compliance, reporting, environmental and performance management while adhering to security policies.
• Perform all tasks within security, governance, and compliance standards and guidelines.
Basic Qualifications:
• 2+ years of proven and real-world experience in the implementation of complex networking concepts.
• 2+ years of experience in the implementation of mission-critical public cloud deployments
• Experience with load balancing strategies/ techniques, expertise in application switching/traffic management, knowledge of persistence and SSL certificates.
• Experience with working with tunneling technologies including IPSEC and SSL VPNs and GRE tunneling
• Experience in Linux/Unix command line and command line tools.
• Experience in automating routine Network tasks; identifying areas for Continuous Improvement using tools like (Terraform, Ansible, Python, Github Actions)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in automating routine tasks; identifying areas for Continuous Improvement
• Any Public Cloud Certification.
• Proven 2+ years experience in LAN switching Internetworking to include VLANS, spanning tree, trunking, port aggregation, and segmentation.
• Proven 2+ years experience with Firewall implementations and support on most of these vendors: CISCO, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Illumio.
• Experience with DNS / AAA / NTP / SFTP / Syslog / SNMP management.
• Experience with protocol analyzers and related network diagnostic tools.
• Strong skills in problem solving and communication.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The pay range for this position is $88,700 to $127,500, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
