In this role, you’ll provide direct clinical care and help shape the future of psychiatry at Two Chairs. You’ll supervise and mentor advanced practice providers (APPs) to ensure excellent, ethical, and measurement-based care across the team. What makes this role unique? The Supervising Psychiatrist will treat patients and supervise and support advanced practice providers, such as nurse practitioners (NPs) or physician assistants (PAs), including reviewing their cases and treatment plans, assisting them in handling complex or crisis situations and ensuring clinical quality and adherence to best practices.  <hr /> <h3>What You’ll Do</h3> <h3>Clinical Care</h3> <ul> <li>Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for individuals with mild to moderate conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and mood disorders.</li> <li>Prescribe medications responsibly, ethically, and in alignment with measurement-based care.</li> <li>Conduct follow-up assessments, manage medications, and offer psychotherapy when clinically appropriate to optimize patient outcomes.</li> </ul> <h4>Supervision &amp; Mentorship</h4> <ul> <li>Supervise and mentor APPs (NPs, PAs, APRNs), ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.</li> <li>Review documentation and treatment plans to ensure quality and adherence to compliance standards.</li> <li>Support APPs in managing clinical crises in line with guidelines.</li> </ul> <h4>Process Development</h4> <ul> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and improve tools, workflows, and care models that elevate psychiatric care.</li> <li>Help define and implement treatment guidelines and protocols that exceed industry standards.</li> </ul> <h4>Patient Support &amp; Education</h4> <ul> <li>Provide psychoeducation and psychotherapy as appropriate to support medication adherence and engagement.</li> <li>Partner with patients to set goals that enhance their mental health and quality of life.</li> </ul> <h4>Team Collaboration</h4> <ul> <li>Work alongside therapists, care coordinators, and other clinicians in a collaborative, interdisciplinary care model.</li> <li>Contribute to case reviews, clinical discussions, and organizational planning.</li> <li>Partner with clinical leadership to refine operational workflows and clinical decision-making support systems.</li> </ul> <hr /> <h3>What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days</h3> <ul> <li>Begin supervising and mentoring advanced practice providers, offering real-time support and ongoing guidance.</li> <li>Deliver outstanding psychiatric care, including psychotherapy, when clinically indicated.</li> <li>Actively contribute to team meetings, case consultations, and the development of innovative care models.</li> <li>Provide input to shape and refine workflows, protocols, and best practices for psychiatric care delivery.</li> </ul> <hr /> We’re looking for someone who is/possesses: <ul> <li>Board-certified psychiatrist (MD or DO)</li> <li>An active and unrestricted medical license to practice psychiatry in Florida or eligibility for expedited licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)</li> <li>Experience supervising and mentoring advanced practice providers (NPs, PAs, etc.).  </li> <li>Preferred: additional state licensure or willingness to obtain additional state licenses</li> <li>Preferred: DEA registration or willingness to obtain with support from Two Chairs</li> <li>Preferred: familiarity with telemedicine platforms and virtual care delivery </li> </ul> <hr /> Compensation &amp; Benefits This is a part-time, exempt position with a flexible schedule of 10 to 20 hours per week, based on the candidates availability and interest. Compensation is based on an hourly rate that varies by geographic zone and ranges from $145 to $200 per hour, depending on location, qualifications, and experience. Location-based Pay Zones <ul> <li>Zone 1: New York City and San Francisco Bay Area – $170–$200/hr</li> <li>Zone 2: Portland (OR), Boston, Chicago, DC, NJ, WA, and all other California locations – $160–$185/hr</li> <li>Zone 3: Miami, Philadelphia, Denver, Austin, Dallas, and Houston – $150–$175/hr</li> <li>Zone 4: All other U.S. locations – $145–$170/hr</li> </ul> All applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
