As a result, our people get to enjoy working on some of the most exciting projects in the world<h3>Job Description</h3>Turner &amp; Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator with CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) experience to join our team to support large scale construction projects and programs. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator with a strong track record of providing accurate estimating services.Responsibilities: <ul><li>Developing cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design across multiple geographic regions; with internal and external staff.</li><li>Delivering and presenting updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones.</li><li>Experience in providing program-level estimates for specific scopes of work</li><li>Coordinate, manage, and supervise the work of support staff.</li><li>Reviewing proposed design changes/new technologies and preparing estimates within appropriate accuracy levels.</li><li>Help drive cost model trends by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing cost information from completed projects.</li><li>Assess cost effectiveness of alternate products and value engineering ideas at a program level.</li><li>Support training to Development and external Estimating teams on new project estimating tools/templates.</li><li>Support preparation of leadership presentations for the client’s Preconstruction and Estimating team.</li><li>Delivering Life Cycle Costing models.</li><li>SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.</li></ul>Project/Program specific responsibilities: Individuals will be working as part of a team providing estimating support activities across a variety of life science sector projects and programmes.Responsibilities will consist of:<ul><li>Preparation of benchmarking reports and development of appropriate data.</li><li>Measurement and estimation from a first principle basis for projects at all design stages.</li><li>Proficient in measuring using CSI Masterformat.</li><li>Undertaking reviews of 3rd party estimates to identify alignment with the market and preparing reports to detail findings.</li><li>Preparation of estimates for project change orders and review of EPCM submissions.</li></ul>Market sector experience:<ul><li>Pharmaceutical manufacturing and R&amp;D facilities</li><li>CGMP facilities</li></ul>Project/program size in dollar value: <ul><li>Various, with projects ranging in size from $50m to $1bn+</li></ul>Software specific requirements: <ul><li>CostX experience preferred but not essential. Experience in measurement software essential.</li></ul>Certification requirements:<ul><li>AACE membership or equivalent preferred but not essential</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.</li><li>Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience</li><li>Experience in a construction cost management role such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Cost Controls etc.</li><li>Experience providing conceptual estimating services and/or pre-construction services at a construction management or related firm.</li><li>Experience supporting large scale construction projects and programs</li><li>Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering.</li><li>Excellent communication skills.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3>The salary range for this full-time role is $135K-$170K- per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary.
