As a result, our people enjoy working on some of the most exciting projects in the world.<h3>Job Description</h3> Turner &amp; Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to join our Tampa construction management team, supporting cost services across a portfolio of real estate projects, with potential exposure to other sectors. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining remote flexibility with in-office collaboration.  Responsibilities: <ul><li>Manage cost services across the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction through close-out.</li><li>Advise clients on procurement strategies, vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and appointment processes.</li><li>Support the development of cost plans, budgets, and estimates for real estate and other sector projects.</li><li>Prepare and review cost reports, forecasts, and budget tracking documents.</li><li>Assess payment applications and change orders, and provide recommendations to clients.</li><li>Monitor invoicing and ensure accurate financial documentation.</li><li>Assist in benchmarking project performance and identifying cost-saving opportunities.</li><li>Participate in final accounting, post-contract audits, and close-out processes.</li><li>Contribute to post-project reviews and documentation of lessons learned.</li><li>Prepare and maintain cost management tools such as Bid Analysis Sheets, Cost Estimating Software, and Take-off Software.</li><li>Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment on cost-related matters.</li><li>Support financial reporting for internal and client-facing presentations.</li><li>Help maintain and update cost databases and benchmarking tools.</li><li>Interpret construction drawings and specifications for cost analysis.</li><li>SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. </li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field.</li><li>3–5 years of relevant experience in construction cost management.</li><li>RICS accreditation or working toward it is a plus.</li><li>Experience supporting medium to large-scale construction projects.</li><li>Strong preference for candidates with consultancy experience.</li><li>Familiarity with various procurement routes and value engineering practices.</li><li>Proficiency in cost estimating and project management software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Excel).</li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.</li><li>Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial documentation.</li><li>Understanding of contract structures and commercial terms.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3> *On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our clients needs*Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
