This role involves managing and analyzing costs for data center construction projects, ensuring financial efficiency and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.We are ideally looking for a local candidate. However, we will consider remote candidates who bring exceptional experience and qualifications to the role. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, including labor, materials, equipment, and services.</li><li>Perform comprehensive cost analysis and forecasting to ensure projects stay within budget.</li><li>Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.</li><li>Prepare and present detailed cost reports and progress updates to project managers and stakeholders.</li><li>Collaborate with project teams, procurement, and contract management to ensure cost control and planning advice.</li><li>Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in project design and execution.</li><li>Engage and manage third-party quantity surveyors and validate construction cost estimates.</li><li>Update and maintain a repository for historical cost data to inform future projects.</li><li>Define and track cost performance metrics, leading monthly cost reporting and analysis.</li><li>SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul><li>Minimum of 3 years’ experience in cost engineering, with a focus on data center construction.</li><li>Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.</li><li>Strong analytical skills, proficiency in cost estimation software, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and a solid understanding of financial forecasting and cost accounting principles.</li><li>Strong presentation skills and ability to thrive in a client-facing role. </li><li>Good organization skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be a team player. </li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3> *On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our clients needs*Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
