Turner &amp; Townsend and CBRE work together to provide clients with the premier programme, project and cost management offering in markets around the world. <h3>Job Description</h3>Turner &amp; Townsend is seeking an Associate Director of Construction Estimating with deep experience in electric transmission and distribution to join our talented team. The ideal individual will be a good communicator and a team player with a good foundation in cost and estimating. This is a key role for our Electric Transmission Sector and have key client management responsibilities.This is a primarily remote role, with some client site travel required. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Developing cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design. </li><li>Supporting Client land acquisitions. </li><li>Delivering and presenting updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones. </li><li>Reviewing proposed design changes/new technologies and preparing estimates within appropriate accuracy levels. </li><li>Understanding design stages and estimate levels. </li><li>Providing commercial input to design optioneering and input into value engineering exercises. </li><li>Preparing cash commit forecasts for the construction life cycle. </li><li>Working collaboratively with stakeholders in the preparation of estimates/ cost plans. </li><li>Analyzing labor markets and cost drivers such as unions &amp; tax. </li><li>Supporting our clients with monthly presentations. </li><li>Delivering Life Cycle Costing models. </li><li>Benchmarking integration to ensure accurate data capture. </li><li>SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.   </li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction. </li><li>Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the power &amp; electric transmission industries; experience in US Utilities construction estimating is a must</li><li>Experience working in a construction cost management role such as Estimating, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Cost Controls etc. </li><li>Thrives in a client facing role. </li><li>Experience supporting program level cost management for medium or large-scale construction projects. </li><li>Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering. </li><li>Strong communication skills.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3>*On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our clients needs Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
