TripleTen is a service that empowers individuals, regardless of their prior experience, to embark on the exciting and challenging journey of mastering tech professions.
Our bootcamps focus on training students in software engineering, data science, business intelligence analytics, and QA engineering in a feasible and accessible way, ultimately leading them to thrive in a new career.
Our mission is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to successfully master a new profession, find their purpose, and become a valuable member of the tech industry.
Tutors are specialists from industries with great experience and expertise. They make theory meet practice and share their practical knowledge and tricks with our students.
As a tutor, your mission is to guide and mentor students throughout the whole program so that they can complete it successfully. You help students to conquer projects, build their portfolio, find confidence and personal coding style and be prepared for the job market.
Students will interact with you in live meetings and Discord project channel.
Main tasks related to students:
- Conduct webinars (at least) once a week for your cohort on the program contents connecting theory and practice, through real cases from the industry and examples from your professional experience.
- Handle one to one mentoring sessions for different purposes: help students solve projects within the deadline, career/business advices or mock interviews, among others.
- Conduct often international webinars in english for all Tripleten students of the profession.
- Moderate the ## project channel of your cohort in Discord.
All tutors responsibilities:
1/ Be available on Discord one daily hour (this time can be divided into different times of the day) to:
- Moderate and answer questions about the project in the cohort ## project channel
- Keep your cohort active in the community channel: often post some interesting article, challenge, quizz, game, etc.
- Respond to posts in the TripleTen Guidance Team server channels, share the necessary comments in the profession feedback channel about bugs, content errors, warning, suggestions, ideas; communicate with reviewers in the project channel, etc.
2/ Conduct Webinars of your cohorts:
- Prepare the topic of the session in advance between: project orientations, project solving, relevant contents out of the program, real cases from your professional experience, important issues/tips for the daily life of a professional in the field.
- Analyze weekly students report of progress shared by the Community manager in order to decide webinar topic, proactive 1-1 sessions, etc.
- Share agenda at least the day before of the session
- Share your expertise in the area and give practical examples to students
- Share students feedback survey during the last five minutes of the session so they are more likely to complete it.
- Check students feedback frequently to implement improvements.
3/ Handle 1-1 sessions:
- During the first 2 sprints, tutor must have a introductory 1-1 session with each student of the cohort to start building a confident relationship, to motivate the student during the conversation, listen their problems or challenges and share his/her experience and help with any barrier the student may have.
- Each sprints tutor should offer 1-1 mentoring sessions to help students solve projects, understand reviewers’ comments and advice them on how to improve the coding style and project in general. If you notices that is a common need you offer sessions for a reduced group that is in the same stage, or do an extra webinar for all cohort if the majority is stuck.
- In the last sprints, tutor should handle 1-1 sessions for career/business advices with each student.
4/ Participate in your cohort events:
- Pre-boarding meeting
- Orientation/onboarding meeting
- Marathons
- Code quizzes
- Graduation meeting
5/ Participate in team meetings such as region meetings, education team meetings, meeting with Localization team, cohort meeting with CM & instructor, etc.
6/ Fill out the billing sheet daily with the hours worked.
- Proficient level of Spanish and English.
- 2+ years of work experience as a full-stack web developer.
- Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, React, Webpack, Node.js, and Express.js.
- Readiness to dedicate at least 12-15 hours a week to your students.
- Participants in bootcamps is an advantage for our candidates.
- Remote, part-time cooperation.

- Hour rate is 20 USD Gross.
