What you’ll do:
The Patient Account Representative is responsible for the accurate submission of electronic and paper claims for both primary and secondary insurance coverage. This includes resolving claim edit errors in Epic Hospital Billing and handling additional tasks such as timely processing of late charges and requesting necessary information from other departments for specialized claims (e.g., Renal Dialysis, External Institutions, etc.). Key responsibilities include:
- Transmitting claims to all payors, both primary and secondary.
- Correcting claim edit errors to ensure timely submission.
- Collaborating with various departments to obtain required information for clean claim submissions.
- Processing late charges and adjustments for all payors.
- Documenting all billing activities in Epic Hospital Billing.
- Correcting registration errors in Epic Hospital Registration.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Manager or Director.
This role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities to ensure accurate and timely billing processes.
This is a HYBRID Position and requires High speed internet as well as desk space to work remotely.

What you’ll need for this job:
Minimum Education:
Required: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
Minimum Experience:
Required: 1-2 years of previous job – related experience
Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
Compensation:
Pay Range: $16.49- $24.44 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
