<div>The <strong>Traffic Coordinator </strong>is the key transportation liaison for all plants. Responsible for mitigating issues causing delays in customer delivery, inbound materials, and finished goods re-supply at all plants, suppliers, and co-manufacturers.</div> <h2> Key Responsibilities </h2> <div>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.</div><ul><li>Sources and manages freight companies for inbound/outbound freight, including LTL and truckload shipments utilizing optimal routing to assure the required level of customer service is received at the lowest rates.  </li><li>Negotiates carrier rates for various transportation modes.  </li><li>Focuses on cost effectiveness and priority customers.  </li><li>Responsible for executing against annual transportation budget.</li><li>Coordinates shipping and receiving activities within the plants. </li><li>Monitors and evaluates carrier performance for on-time deliveries and service.  </li><li>Responsible for tracking carriers process compliance from tender to reporting delivery. </li><li>Follow-ups on carrier activities not accomplished at the appointed time to obtain updates/current status, monitoring and follow up on adherence to pick up appointments.  </li><li>Communicates potential delays to appropriate Customer Logistics Analyst and revised delivery appointments. </li><li>Calculates and enters freight contracts.  </li><li>Analyzes and approves rate change requests.</li><li>Develops and evaluates freight discrepancy sheets.  </li><li>Uses weekly/monthly KPI reporting identifies service improvement/ cost reduction opportunities. </li><li>Maintains inbound and outbound routing guides.</li><li>Performs audit of the delivered price list to ensure accuracy.</li><li>Problem-solves transportation issues and communicates as necessary with the sales team, customer service reps, and others as appropriate. </li><li>Assists sales with logistics of special projects, including delivered pricing and outside warehousing.
