This pivotal new role blends a nose for news with creative direction, strong technical and production expertise, social media savvy, and strategic communications. </span></div><div><br /></div><div><span>Reporting to the </span><b>VP of Communications</b><span>, the ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter, capable of story mining and collaboration with scientists across our organization. You see opportunities where others only see challenges and are willing to roll up your sleeves as part of our high-performing Communications Team to advise, delight, and encourage our audiences.</span></div><div><br /></div><div><span>If you are the communications pro who has the technical chops to ‘build it’ and the drive to ‘make it happen,’ then we can’t wait for you to apply! </span></div><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Establish and pilot a content creation program in our new content studio.</li><li>Manage the day-to-day operations of the studio, including equipment maintenance, team member training, and video production &amp; editing.</li><li>Build and maintain a Digital Asset Management system, ensuring content labeling accuracy and appropriate accessibility across teams.</li><li>Analyze content performance metrics and audience feedback to continuously improve content strategy and delivery.</li><li>Project management and collaboration with internal partners to align digital marketing efforts with overall business objectives and ensure seamless integration across channels. </li><li>Stay current with emerging digital marketing trends, tools, and technologies, and apply this knowledge to continuously enhance our content and distribution strategies and capabilities.</li><li>Work closely with the Communications Manager and the Internal Communications Lead to support the publication and maintenance of digital content across various channels, ensuring consistency, quality, and relevance of content to engage target audiences.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>8+ years of experience in related positions.</li><li>Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in related field.</li><li>Deep technical expertise in video production, editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro), CMS platforms, and digital asset management.</li><li>Ability to operate video cameras, manage wireless microphones, and operate a video switching system and sound board.</li><li>Exceptional project management skills, with experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.</li><li>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. </li><li>Strong analytical skills and familiarity with digital analytics tools and audience engagement metrics. </li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed organization and manage cross-functional relationships.</li></ul><div><i>The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $140,000 and $210,000/year for California-based roles; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Note that TRI offers a generous benefits package (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave) and an annual cash bonus structure.
