WHAT IS THE ROLE ABOUT?  <ul> <li>Closely collaborating with data analysts, analytics engineers and other consumers of Tourlane data to maintain and incrementally improve our hosted data services</li> <li>Improving and extending our existing data ELT processes, focusing on our ‘bronze’ and ‘silver’ layer within our data architecture</li> <li>Implementing automation features for the GDPR compliance of our data warehouse </li> <li>Supporting analysts in remodeling their domain specific data in order to migrate into our new DWH structure (Medallion Architecture), if needed </li> <li>Consulting our internal data producers in non-breaking data changes and modeling</li> <li>Coaching less experienced colleagues (i.e. analysts) across our data stack and strongly contributing to our department-wide data governance initiatives </li> </ul> WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL? <ul> <li>Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and orchestration tools</li> <li>Proficiency in building and scaling, monitoring, and maintaining data pipelines</li> <li>Strong communication with stakeholders with different levels of coding / data experience</li> <li>Mid-level knowledge in SQL and dbt, experienced working with relational databases and solid programming skills in Python</li> <li>Experience with modern data modeling concepts and data warehousing architecture</li> <li>Knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles</li> </ul> TOOLS WE USE? <ul> <li>Infrastructure provisioning: Terraform</li> <li>Ingestion and orchestration: Fivetran, Airbyte, Dagster </li> <li>Real-time tracking: Snowplow</li> <li>Transformation/modeling: dbt</li> <li>Data quality: Synq</li> <li>Data warehouse: Snowflake</li> <li>Reporting: Looker / LookML</li> </ul> YOU ARE THE WORLD <ul> <li>We value your participation in Tourlanes success and complement your cash compensation with a package of employee stock options (ESOP).</li> <li>Flexible working setup to get the most of your working hours: we offer full flexibility in our Hybrid/Remote model, however we do expect that you take advantage of our lively Berlin office 2-3 days per week</li> <li>We share your passion for traveling: enjoy working abroad through our new program</li> <li>We support all the diverse communities that make us Tourlane: join or create your own Employee Resource Group (ERG) and connect with Tourlaneans</li> <li>Dog-friendly office: we can’t wait to meet your furry friend!</li> </ul> ……………………………….
