Imagine what we’ll build together.</p></div><h2><strong>About the Pro Experience Team</strong></h2> <p>The Pro Experience (PX) team is dedicated to creating a best-in-class product experience for professionals on Thumbtack, ensuring they maximize their return on investment when using the platform. By building tools and features that empower pros to succeed, PX plays a central role in driving the health of Thumbtacks marketplace.</p> <p>As part of this team, youll work across a wide range of product surface areas — from core onboarding and loyalty programs that set every pro up for success, to custom solutions that meet the needs of large, nationwide partners. PX also leverages cutting-edge AI/ML to build tools like virtual receptionists and personalized profile optimization, helping pros better connect with customers and grow their businesses on Thumbtack. </p> <h2>The Challenge</h2> <p>Many of the sorts of changes we’re making are unproven, and as a data driven company, we prefer to run experiments that vet our hypotheses. As an engineer, balancing places we can be scrappy to test ideas quickly  vs places we need to take more care to exercise engineering rigor and build things the right way is important. Given we have cross functional teams, if you like looking at user problems from a product or design perspective, you’ll be a great fit for this.</p> <p>Additionally, we have one other iOS engineer on the team, so it may take being a bit deliberate about building community with iOS engineers across teams if you prefer larger iOS teams.</p> <p></p> <h2><strong>What youll do</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Drive iOS feature projects to completion, focusing on the business and customer impact of those projects</li> <li>Break down large projects into concrete deliverables and milestones that make it easy to track progress</li> <li>Work closely with back-end engineers, product managers, designers, data analysts, and other teams to gather feedback, prioritize projects, and deliver solutions</li> <li>Communicate project status to stakeholders, proactively raising potential blockers and other risks</li> <li>Explore new frameworks and processes while also being able to discuss when (or when not) to use them</li> <li>Participate in a culture that values thoughtful code reviews and frequent deployments</li> </ul> <h2><strong>In order to be successful, you must bring</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Passionate iOS engineer with experience building, testing, releasing, and maintaining apps written in Swift or Objective-C.</li> <li>Proven track record of shipping consumer-facing apps that users love on the App Store.</li> <li>Cross-functional collaboration and communication.
