Our work spans building APIs, iframe widgets, and partner-facing surfaces that connect Thumbtack with platforms like Amazon Alexa, OpenAI, Perplexity, Samsung, Nextdoor, Redfin and Realtor.com.</p> <p>We’re a fast-moving team of 16 engineers organized into two pods, aka 2 EMs, each focused on a specific set of partner verticals (e.g., retail, HOA, lead aggregators). Skilled at prioritizing tasks to deliver on goals with a sense of urgency</p> </li> <li> <p>Execute new ideas quickly and effectively in Android while also being a resource to other teams and engineers</p> </li> <li> <p>Willing, when necessary, to solve tough technical problems at any level of the stack, and be persistent in getting to the solution</p> </li> <li> <p>Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as Product and Design to plan and execute on engineering projects</p> </li> <li> <p>Work on large projects and lead small teams of engineers</p> </li> </ul> <h2><strong>In order to be successful, you must bring</strong></h2> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in engineering</p> </li> <li> <p>Hands-on experience with Kotlin or Java</p> </li> <li> <p>Passionate Android engineer comfortable in building, testing, releasing, and maintaining Android applications</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with popular 3rd party libraries, frameworks, and services like RxJava, ButterKnife, AutoValue, Retrofit, Dagger, Crashlytics, and Amplitude, including when not to use one</p> </li> </ul> <h2><strong>Expected salary ranges </strong></h2> <ul> <li><span>For candidates living in San Francisco / Bay Area, San Jose, New York City, or Seattle metros, the expected salary range for the role is currently $169,600 - $219,500. </span></li> <li><span>For candidates living in Austin, TX or Washington DC metros or in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Washington states, the expected salary range for the role is currently $152,700 - $197,600. </span></li> <li><span>For candidates living in all other US locations, the expected salary range for this role is currently $144,200 - $186,600.  </span></li> </ul> <p><span>Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.</span></p> <p><span>#LI-Remote</span></p><div><p><span>Thumbtack embraces diversity.
