This role is a hybrid between a designer, engineer, researcher, and creative technologist, to explore how new advances in AI can shape the future of the<a target="_blank" href="https://www.diabrowser.com"> Dia</a>. This is a product-centric role for someone who thrives at the intersection of new AI capabilities, user experience, and rapid prototyping. You’ll turn research breakthroughs into tangible prototypes that challenge our assumptions, inspire our roadmap, and push the boundaries of what a browser can do.You’ll report to our Head of AI Engineering and also work directly with our CTO. You’ll be part of a small, cross-functional group that sits between our product teams, working closely with engineers and designers to imagine and build new end-to-end experiences that dream up new ways to help people get work done in the browser. <h2>Overall you will...</h2><ul><li>Prototype new product experiences by identifying emerging AI capabilities and translating them into entirely new browser experiences that redefine how people use the web.</li><li>Learn and de-risk what’s possible by stress-testing new AI technologies to understand when—and how—they’re ready for real product integration.</li><li>Bridge research and product by translating complex model behavior into intuitive, human, and expressive interactions.</li><li>Collaborate with design and product teams to craft interfaces that make AI feel accessible, creative, and genuinely useful—and communicate clearly to know when to ship to learn and when to polish to inspire.</li><li>Augment our tools for prototyping to help us move faster and empower more in-product exploration with new AI capabilities.</li><li>Stay ahead of the latest advancements in AI, identifying what’s relevant for our mission and turning insights into prototypes that demonstrate what the future of browsing could be.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>6+ years of experience building interactive prototypes or products, ideally at the intersection of AI and user experience, in fast-paced, experimental 0→1 environments such as startups, labs, or creative tech teams.</li><li>Hands-on experience with with large language models (LLMs), multimodal APIs, or other emerging AI systems.</li><li>Strong technical skills with modern web stacks (React, TypeScript, Python) and building your own ideas end-to-end.</li><li>Familiarity with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Framer, or custom-built frontends)</li><li>Strong communication and storytelling skills. You can articulate the “why” behind your experiments clearly and are pragmatic, motivated by nebulous problems, and excited to work in a startup environment with quick product validation cycles.</li><li>Most of our team is based in North American time zones and require that folks have 4+ hours of overlap time with team members in Eastern Time Zone.</li><li>You resonate with our <a target="_blank" href="https://thebrowser.company/values/">company values</a> and can continue to scale your team with these in mind</li></ul><h1>Compensation and Benefits</h1><ul><li>Our total compensation package for full-time employees includes base salary, equity, and benefits. The annual salary range for this role is $250,000 - $310,000 USD.
