We have an opportunity for a seasoned Program Manager who will be responsible for directing and enhancing the assessment, evaluation, strategic planning, and global education services in the College of Education and Human Development. Responsibilities will also include embedding, tracking, gathering, and assessing transformational learning opportunities for the CEHD’s students and monitoring data of the students and programs, including data for the University, College, and Programs. Will independently develop studies and assess the nature of available data produced across the college, determine the best method/s to analyze the data, and make sense of analyzed data and report it in both short and long form for dissemination or decision-making. Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Education or applicable field
Five years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Education or applicable field
Six years of experience in management, consultation, higher education, schools, or other related areas
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding
Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
Responsibilities
MANAGING ASSESSMENT AND STRATEGIC PLANNING OF ACADEMIC SERVICES PROGRAMS.
Leads, facilitates, and directs the assessment of academic and service programs in the CEHD
Independently develop studies and assess the nature of available data produced across the college, determine the best method/s to analyze the data, and make sense of analyzed data and report it in both short and long form for dissemination or decision-making
Support faculty and program coordinators in designing and implementing comprehensive program assessment plans aligned with institutional, state, and accreditation requirements (e.g., for accreditations nationally)
Lead the development and review of annual program learning outcomes (PLOs) and coordinate submission of annual assessment reports for all academic programs in collaboration with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness
Analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to inform decision-making, program enhancement, and curriculum redesign
Serve as liaison to institutional offices such as the Office of Institutional Research, Effectiveness, and Planning and a liaison on the University Assessment Committee, working with the college’s assessment community to strengthen assessment and strategic efforts
Works collaboratively with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness on program submissions and works with all program chairs/faculty to complete the required program submissions throughout the year; meets with the program faculty individually on the required reports; submits 100% of the reports to the University on time for each event throughout the year
Work with IT on the finalization and implementation of the CEHD Graduate Student Ph.D. Portal
Aids in enhancing and supporting the national accreditation with student/program data submissions
Works in the preparation and submission of national surveys, including U.S. News & World Report rankings and other institutional accountability measures
Collaborate with university-level offices (e.g., International Programs Office) to align CEHD efforts with broader institutional goals for internationalization
Aids with data gathering, interpretation, and reporting in the Academic Performance Reports per Department
Assists with a Strategic Planning process for the College or Department
Assists with completing and monitoring enrollment data for each Department and for the College
LEAD AND DIRECT INFORMATION AND REPORTS
Develops and organizes the collection of information and the preparation of analytical reports as needed. Reporting requirements may include institutional, state, and national information requests that address student involvement in various activities, enrollment, graduate and undergraduate trends, and student teaming outcomes and achievements
Works in tandem with the Data Manager/Analyst to ensure that data are presented along with appropriate interpretation and analysis of the data
LEAD AND DIRECT GLOBAL EDUCATION SERVICES
Leads and manages the Global Education Committee (CEHD) and serves as Chair of the Global Education Committee, leading the strategic vision for international engagement within the college
Represents the CEHD at the Education Abroad University Group
Promote and support state, national, and international study abroad programs, including proposal development, risk management coordination, and assessment of learning outcomes
Leads the data collection, assessment, and analysis of global education services and high-impact practices, including study abroad, undergraduate research, honors courses/programs, international academic experiences, internships, service learning, or other leadership development experiential learning opportunities for students, and learning communities
Develop global partnerships and agreements with international institutions and agencies to expand educational and research collaborations in conjunction with the TAMU Office of Education Abroad.
Works with ISSS for any international visitors’ visas to ensure compliance
Works with the University’s Education Abroad Office for all international MOUs for the CEHD to ensure compliance
Review all Vendor Contracts for the CEHD prior to signing for CEHD compliance
Coordinate global education programming, events, and initiatives aimed at enhancing intercultural competence and global citizenship for students and faculty
