Transports the mobile clinic/RV to locations throughout Texas where education for providers and health care may be delivered to vulnerable populations. Assists with transporting/delivering equipment for the Texas Teleforensic Remote Assistance Center (Tex-TRAC) telehealth program to health care facilities participating in the program.What you need to knowSchedule: May be required to provide on-call support on nights and weekends as needed.Please note: This position is grant funded; future employment may be contingent upon future funding.   Required Education and Experience<ul><li>High school diploma</li><li>Minimum of 2 years driving large vehicles (examples RVs, ambulance, fire truck, tractor trailer)</li></ul>Required Licenses and Certifications<ul><li>Texas driver’s license</li><li>Clear driving record</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Holds a commercial driver’s license (CDL)</li><li>4 years of driving large vehicles and vehicles with trailers</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities<ul><li>Ability to work cooperatively with others.</li><li>Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment.</li><li>Excellent written communication.</li><li>Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.</li><li>Customer service skills.</li><li>Ability to configure, administer, and/or troubleshoot.</li></ul>Responsibilities: Driving<ul><li>Drives RV to the location for simulation, to locations where clinic services will be delivered and to deliver telehealth equipment, constantly adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.</li><li>Ensures safe arrival to the locations</li><li>Completes arrival check list</li><li>Completes departure check list</li><li>Drives Tex-TRAC Trailer to hospitals where services will be delivered or where carts will be picked up for transport back to the HSC</li></ul>Trip Planning<ul><li>Plans the route of the trip to consider height requirements of the RV</li><li>Determines locations for fuel along the trip route</li><li>Collaborates with sites to plan the trip and parking location</li><li>Determines that the parking location meets requirements for safe use of bigfoot hydraulic system (RV)</li></ul>Maintenance of RV/Tex-TRAC Trailer<ul><li>Ensures RV has sufficient fuel throughout the trip and upon return</li><li>Drives vehicle to dumping site and dumps the black water</li><li>Drives vehicle for normal vehicle maintenance (ex: oil change and other fluids)</li><li>Tests generator and bigfoot hydraulic system to ensure in working order</li><li>Maintains departure check list</li><li>Maintains proper tire pressures</li><li>Changes flat tires on the RV/Trailer as needed</li><li>Keeps RV/Trailer washed and cleaned</li><li>Maintains accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance activities, and any incidents occurring during transportation or delivery of services. Complete any paperwork promptly and accurately.</li></ul>Assistance at Locations<ul><li>Sets up portable table and chairs at the location</li><li>Ensures generator is functioning at the site</li><li>Plugs the RV in to electricity at the location (if available)</li><li>Works with Tex-TRAC team and hospital for loading/unloading carts</li><li>Determines in advance where the RV/Trailer can be parked at sites</li><li>Communicates with stakeholders in a professional manner</li><li>Communicates delivery schedules, addressing any issues or concerns</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Ability to stand for long periods of time</li><li>Ability to sit for long periods of time</li><li>Ability to hitch and unhitch the trailer/from to the SUV</li><li>Ability to move telehealth cart/equipment from the trailer</li><li>Able to lift or move objects of medium weights</li><li>Assists with moving portable tables, chairs, and other equipment in and out of the RV</li><li>Assists with set up of tables and chairs</li><li>Ability to bend over and squat to empty the tanks on the RV</li><li>Ability to bend over and maneuver carts to store in the trailer</li></ul>Instructions to Applicants: Applications received by Texas A&amp;M University must either have all job application data entered, or a resume attached.
