Ability to synthesize these to explain housing market dynamics.</li><li>Experience with economic forecasting.</li><li>Ability to travel in state to large and small markets for presentations and stakeholder engagement.</li><li>High standard of excellence and research integrity.</li><li>Able to perform independently or as part of a multidisciplinary collaborative team.</li><li>Proven ability and eagerness to work well with others and to mentor and supervise direct reports.</li><li>Service-minded; detail-oriented.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Housing markets subject matter expert with the ability to develop deep familiarity with Texas local markets.</li><li>PhD in Finance or Real Estate.</li><li>More than six years of progressively responsible applied research experience delivering actionable research insights.</li><li>Applied research experience in industry.</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Presentations- Present as a subject matter expert. Prepare presentation materials appropriate for small and/or large groups, to include industry leaders, trade associations, lay people, and municipal, county, or other government leaders. These duties require the use of a personal or University vehicle.</li><li>Research Duties- Responsible for overseeing and conducting complex independent research into the field of real estate housing economics. Stay abreast of the industry and maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise. Identify industry nuances and adapt research initiatives to answer questions appropriate to constituency. Work with the research director and senior housing economist to develop projects. Produce findings in a timely manner.</li><li>Research Writing- Analyze research data and summarize results. Disseminate findings through articles, technical reports, research papers, and other publications.</li><li>External Liaison- Develop relationships with external stakeholders as assigned. Create or facilitate collaboration. Support the Center’s mission and promote the Center’s profile. Respond to media requests.
