Youll tackle challenges in RISC-V CPU security, AI hardware protection, confidential computing, and automotive-grade security. Your work ensures the trust, integrity, and resilience of silicon across a broad portfolio. Collaborate across disciplines to integrate security at every stage—from architecture to implementation and verification. This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about solving deep security problems at the hardware-software boundary. This role is remote, based out of The United States. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.   Who You Are <ul> <li>Define and architect secure chip features, collaborating with hardware, software, and systems teams.</li> <li>Develop and apply threat models, identify vulnerabilities, and drive risk mitigation.</li> <li>Implement secure protocols, encryption schemes, and cryptographic primitives.</li> <li>Conduct security reviews, penetration testing, and validation of architectural defenses.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with standards like FIPS 140-3, ISO 21434, and Common Criteria.</li> </ul>   What We Need <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer/Electrical Engineering or a related field.</li> <li>Proven experience in chip-level or embedded security design and analysis.</li> <li>Strong understanding of cryptography, secure protocols, and threat modeling.</li> <li>Proficiency in C/C++, scripting, and familiarity with RTL coding standards.</li> <li>Hands-on with security assessment tools and compliance processes.</li> </ul>   What You Will Learn <ul> <li>Deep exposure to security challenges in heterogeneous compute systems—from CPUs to AI accelerators.</li> <li>Work at the intersection of hardware, firmware, and secure architecture in a fast-paced, innovative environment.</li> <li>Gain hands-on experience with open source and proprietary silicon security strategies.</li> <li>Contribute to pre-silicon and post-silicon security validation and incident response planning.</li> <li>Learn how to integrate hardware security into next-gen chiplets used in datacenter, automotive, and AI applications.</li> </ul>   Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets.
