In this role, youll drive secure architecture design and provide expert consultation across the organisation. This position sits within Global Networks &amp; Technology – Security &amp; Operations, the team responsible for protecting Telstra’s critical assets and infrastructure. Youll enjoy a unique blend of strategic leadership (30%) and hands-on technical delivery (70%), giving you the opportunity to shape our security architecture practices and play a key role in Telstra’s Cyber Assurance journey.What You’ll DoLeadership:<ul><li>Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Security Architects</li><li>Manage contractor resources and allocation effectively</li><li>Align team efforts with Telstra’s Cyber Assurance processes and frameworks</li><li>Contribute to wider Cyber Assurance and Security Enablement standards and initiatives.</li></ul>Technical:<ul><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement security controls in architecture</li><li>Evaluate emerging security technologies and align them with business goals</li><li>Develop reusable security assets including standards and solution patterns</li><li>Influence security strategy, standards, and frameworks development</li><li>Document and assess security solution architectures and their impact</li><li>Clearly communicate security risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders</li><li>Build strategic relationships with industry leaders and technology vendors.</li></ul>What you bring to the role<ul><li>Proven leadership and mentoring experience in security teams</li><li>Strong commercial awareness and supplier management skills</li><li>Minimum 5 years’ experience in Security Architecture with complex solution design</li><li>Ability to solve enterprise-scale security challenges in ambiguous environments</li><li>Experience in architecture or technology strategy development</li><li>Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.</li></ul>Bonus if you bring<ul><li>Knowledge of IT systems planning and technical architecture frameworks</li><li>Experience with Service Oriented and RESTful architecture design</li><li>Expertise in secure cloud solution design</li><li>Relevant certifications such as CRISC, CISSP, CISM, SABSA, CCNP, CCSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT 5, CGEIT.</li></ul> Who We AreWere an iconic Aussie brand with a global footprint.
