This position requires the ongoing holding and maintenance of an Australian Government Baseline security clearance.What You’ll DoTelstra Enterprise - Enterprise Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Telstras enterprise business, including order fulfillment, customer support, and service delivery.<ul><li>Lead the design and implementation of automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.</li><li>Embed security practices across the software development lifecycle.</li><li>Collaborate with teams to coach, share knowledge, and drive best practices.</li><li>Design and implement end-to-end automation solutions, including API integration and network configuration.</li><li>Work closely with vendors and influence strategic decisions through hands-on experience.</li><li>Maintain and enhance automation platforms using tools such as Ansible, GitLab, and Jenkins.</li><li>Develop scripts for network validation and monitoring.</li><li>Continuously improve processes, frameworks, and system efficiency.</li><li>Contribute to the development of next-generation network automation for Telstra Defence.</li></ul>About You<ul><li>Australian Citizen with Baseline Security Clearance.</li><li>Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Shell, Ansible).</li><li>Strong understanding of RedHat Ansible, CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins), and observability platforms (e.g., Splunk).</li><li>Experience with infrastructure management in VMware and Linux environments.</li><li>Solid grasp of network engineering fundamentals (routing, switching, protocols).</li><li>Familiarity with secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles.</li><li>Application security expertise including:</li><li>Code reviews and vulnerability assessments (SAST/DAST)</li><li>Security tool integration in CI/CD pipelines</li><li>Threat modeling and secure architecture reviews</li><li>Incident response and remediation</li></ul>Desirable Qualifications<ul><li>Experience in Defence development environments.</li><li>Exposure to container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).</li><li>Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).</li><li>Relevant certifications (e.g., OSCP, CEH, GWAPT, CSSLP).</li></ul>As part of your application with Telstra, you may receive communications from us on +61 440 135 548 (for job applications in Australia) When you join our team, you become part of a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone is respected, valued and celebrated.
