As a Senior Financial Analyst, Global Supply Chain & Logistics (GSCL) Finance, you’ll oversee the financial performance of Target’s last mile delivery expense for our guests.  Given our digital sales growth and the increasing role that digital fulfillment is playing in the marketplace, the role is critical to ensuring we deliver on the guest experience while ensure disciplined financial performance and capacity management.  Reporting to the Director of Last Mile GSCL Finance, you’ll be supported along the way to challenge your partners to drive continued financial success and to provide them with analytical insights of their performance.  Job duties may change at any time due to business needs, but the role will have accountability to delivering the following:

  • annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for select drivers of ship expense
  • actual performance recaps to Finance and business leaders on a weekly and monthly basis
  • build financial tools and models for our last mile & fulfillment optimization partners that help advance the business
  • financial point-of-contact for Fulfillment Market Strategy, evaluating market level ship expense and profitability results as well as results of new tests and capabilities
  • support P&L profitability reporting via ship expense, including key relationships with MFA and enterprise fulfillment roles
  • develop ad hoc analytics to explain key business drivers, size the financial impact of various last mile tactics, and influence optimal outcomes

About you:

  • 4-year college degree with equivalent experience (3-6 years) in Finance and/or Operations
  • Strong technical skill set around modeling and data mining (SQL knowledge preferred)
  • Uses analysis to influence facts and data
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver outcomes
  • Comfortable developing multiple scenarios to communicate a risk adjusted range of expected financial performance
  • Willingness to make financial recommendations with a progress over perfection mindset
  • Ability to work with all levels of management with high level of autonomy, motivation, and self-direction
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to establish and nurture connections across the enterprise to build a network of partners and resources
  • Natural curiosity to ask questions and look within the data for outliers and connections to improve upon existing tools and processes
  • Embraces all perspective through empathy, curiosity, and listening

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as Flex for Your Day) work arrangement based on Targets needs.  A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location thats not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.  A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team members core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
