Key product categories include hard goods (kids dinnerware, décor, lighting, storage) and soft goods (bedding, soft home, bath.) You will be expected to maintain a diligent and self-directed approach to workload, and provide accurate and timely communication to internal and external partners. You will support the team in product/trend research, trend concepts, color, and design/development of products. You will also assist the team in preparing product specs, and developing trim, print, embellishment, and hardware packages. In addition, you’ll translate ideas using CAD/hand sketches. This includes completing design/technical sketches and professional presentation boards/materials for meetings, and vendor partners. You will also work closely with the Technical Design department, working together to communicate fit and construction details. About you: • Four-year degree in Design, Fine Art, or similar area of study, or equivalent experience • 1-3 years of experience • Computer design system skills including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop • Experience in CAD illustration or 2D/3D software • Ability to stay aware of Trends and Fashion • Understanding of textiles, garment construction/fit or raw materials &amp; product production • Experience assimilating product feedback • Ability to research and apply market/trend information • Ability to build strong partnerships in order to successfully work in a team environmentThis position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs.
