The Basics: We are seeking a strategic, data-driven, and innovative Director of Talent Management to lead Tanium’s global talent strategy during an exciting phase of growth and innovation. This leader will architect and scale world-class talent programs—spanning performance management, leadership development, succession planning, employee engagement, and internal mobility—with a strong focus on leveraging AI and advanced analytics to enhance talent outcomes. This is a highly visible role reporting to the Chief Talent Officer and collaborating closely with executive leadership, HRBPs, and cross-functional teams globally. This is a hybrid position which will require in person attendance several days each week in our Emeryville, CA office. What you’ll do: <ul> <li>Talent Strategy &amp; Planning <ul> <li>Design and lead Tanium’s enterprise-wide talent management strategy aligned to business priorities and future capabilities.</li> <li>Drive talent reviews, and succession strategies at all levels of leadership.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Performance &amp; Growth <ul> <li>Enhance performance management processes that enable continuous feedback, goal alignment, and development.</li> <li>Embed learning agility and high-impact development experiences into our performance cycle.</li> </ul> </li> <li>AI &amp; Talent Analytics <ul> <li>Deploy and manage AI-driven tools and predictive analytics to assess talent risk, enhance succession pipelines, and optimize talent decisions.</li> <li>Partner with other leaders on People team to operationalize AI across talent workflows.   </li> </ul> </li> </ul> We’re looking for someone with: <ul> <li>10+ years of progressive experience in Talent Management, Organizational Development, or HR Strategy within high-growth technology environments.</li> <li>Proven track record leading enterprise talent programs across global teams.</li> <li>Deep experience integrating AI/ML technologies into talent management, learning platforms, or workforce planning tools.</li> <li>Strong business acumen with the ability to translate talent insights into strategic action.</li> <li>Excellent influencing and stakeholder engagement skills at the executive level.</li> <li>Advanced degree in Organizational Psychology, HR, Business, or related field preferred.</li> </ul>   About Tanium  Tanium delivers the industrys only true real-time cloud-based endpoint management and security offering. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire.
